☀️Days like today are why I do what I do🙏🥰!!!

Children are naturally curious... from the minute they gain control of their movements they work to put themselves out into the world to see how it works. They explore, observe and imitate. This unrestricted exploration helps children form connections in their brain, it helps them learn.

Art is a natural activity to support this free play in children and allows youth to practice a wide range of skills that are useful not only for life, but also for learning

SELF PORTRAIT DAY!!!! Can I get an AMENNNN for loving ourselves inside and out!!????!! It was such a beautiful experience to see the children look at themselves and be proud to draw what they see. As I post these photos tonight I cried, and laughed all at once. If you could all be a fly on the wall.. what an incredible group of SUPER TALENTED, SUPER FUNNY, helpful and sweet children I get to hang out every day. I can’t be thankful enough for this beautiful life!

SLIME DAY!! Today children took time and patience to learn about something we call trial and error! Some glues wouldn’t form the slime and some did! In the end, it was all a giant mess anyways and we all had a blast!! We also started some ancient art like learning about and practicing hieroglyphics!!

Another day in paradise!!! What a super fun filled week full of really messy crafts and action packed park games!! I was so impressed with the level of comprehension this week, following instruction with little guidance, as well as witnessing the beauty of the older sibling showing care and love to the littles. Today we made some beautiful little tea light candle jars and homemade stickers!

Finished result of our “under the sea” art!! It was so great to watch everyone work together to create these beautiful sea shell canvases ☀️🐚🏝️We also worked on our “observation jars” in which the children had to carefully funnel sand and other items into the jars to create some unique mantle decor! Let’s see what tomorrow holds!

Today we started our paper mache lanterns!! It was a very fun and messy project
