Where your mind goes, your prana flows ✨
Positive thinking isn’t bypassing reality—it’s choosing where to place your attention. In the ta***ic tradition, manifestation happens through the sacred triad of Iccha (will), Jnana (knowledge), and Kriya (action). First we intend. Then we understand. Then we move.
When the mind is focused, energy follows. When energy is directed, things begin to shift. This is how visions become embodied. This is how change happens—on the mat and in life.
Apply your focus. Align your will. Take inspired action.
Join us for a Lakshmi Rising Yoga Teacher Training in 2026 and turn intention into lived experience. 🌿

The days are almost about to get a little bit longer and lighter. 🌞 Yay!
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a form of depression that tends to show up as the days grow shorter and darker—often in fall and winter. Less sunlight can disrupt our circadian rhythm, serotonin levels, and energy, leaving us feeling low, sluggish, or disconnected. You’re not broken—your nervous system is responding to the season. 🌗
3 gentle remedies to support SAD:
1️⃣ Soak up the light
Morning sunlight (or a full-spectrum light box) helps regulate your internal clock and boosts serotonin. Even a 10–20 minute walk outside can make a difference. ☀️
2️⃣ Move your body—lovingly
Yoga, walking, dancing, or gentle strength work increases endorphins and circulation. Think consistency over intensity. Movement is medicine. 🧘♀️
3️⃣ Create warmth + connection
Nourishing meals, warm beverages, candles, and meaningful human connection calm the nervous system and counter isolation. Winter is not a time to withdraw completely—it’s a time to gather. 🕯️
Be gentle with yourself. Honor the season. Support your light from within. ✨
If this resonates, you’re not alone.

Tree Pose (Vrksasana) teaches us how to find balance without rigidity. Physically, it strengthens the legs, ankles, and core while improving posture and proprioception. Energetically, it cultivates focus, patience, and grounded confidence.
Like a tree, we learn to root down while growing upward—stable in the lower body, spacious in the heart and mind.
Where in your life are you practicing steady growth today? 🌿

Rooted. Listening. Remembering. 🌲✨
Worship doesn’t have to happen inside walls.
It can happen barefoot on the earth,
beneath ancient trees,
with breath as prayer and presence as devotion.
When we pause to honor nature—
the intelligence of trees, the quiet generosity of oxygen, the steady wisdom of the land—
something in us softens and steadies.
The nervous system exhales.
The mind remembers it belongs.
Let this be a daily practice:
to bow to what sustains us,
to learn from what stands tall without striving,
to offer gratitude simply by paying attention.

Your nervous system loves to be heard. 🎶🧠
Chanting, humming, or toning isn’t just spiritual—it’s physiological medicine.
When you chant (think OM, mantra, or simple vocal toning), you stimulate the vagus nerve, the main communication highway between your brain, heart, lungs, and gut.
✨ Why this matters:
The vagus nerve activates the parasympathetic nervous system—your “rest, digest, and restore” mode.
🌀 Benefits of chanting & toning:
• Lowers stress hormones like cortisol
• Slows heart rate & deepens breath
• Improves digestion & gut health
• Reduces anxiety & inflammation
• Increases feelings of safety, connection, and calm
• Enhances emotional regulation & resilience
The vibration created in the throat, chest, and face sends a powerful signal to the brain:
➡️ You are safe.
➡️ You can soften.
This is why chanting has been used across wisdom traditions for thousands of years—not to escape the body, but to regulate it.
Try this:
Inhale through the nose.
Exhale with a gentle mmm or om for as long as comfortable.
Repeat for 3–5 minutes and notice the shift.
Regulation isn’t something you think your way into.
Sometimes, you sound your way home. 💛

Inside Asana Lab ✨
Where theory meets lived experience.
This is what you can expect during our daily Asana Lab module on a Lakshmi Rising yoga teacher training:
💃🏽We revisit the morning practice and unpack the “why” behind each sequence.
🫶🏽We break down postures through anatomy, intention, modifications, and contraindications.
🦄We practice teaching, assisting, and offering skillful variations.
🦋And we grow through thoughtful feedback from peers and teachers.
Learning by doing. Integrating. Embodying.
This is how confident teachers are formed. 🌿

Sometimes the most powerful part of a yoga teacher training isn’t the poses…it’s the people. 🤍
When you show up fully — courageous, curious, cracked open just enough — you meet others doing the same. And suddenly, strangers become mirrors, soul family, and lifelong friends.
This work is more than learning to teach yoga. It’s learning to love deeper, trust yourself harder, and celebrate each other wildly. 🌱✨
Here’s to big courage, big growth, and even bigger hugs.

Lakshmi Rising Vinyasa Yoga is an awareness-based practice that includes fluid, dynamic asana, kriya, pranayama, mantra, meditation, dance, wellness, self-care and ritual for health and awakening.
This approach is a revitalizing laboratory for uniquely experiencing and expressing Self while mindfully honoring whatever exists in each present moment. Our practice cultivates mental, physical and spiritual strength and flexibility so that we are able to recognize and transform habits, patterns and conditionings that cause suffering in any way. We use the mat as a metaphor to understand where we are stuck so that we can eliminate that which does not enhance the unfoldment of our individual and collective evolution.
Some practices are challenging, vigorous and will require self-discipline. Some practices are slow and juicy with therapeutic space for rest and relaxation. Both styles are valuable, both are important. Lakshmi Rising is the place where sweat, tears, openness and fun meet softness, quiet, introspection and self love. This is an inclusive method available to everyone. In the lineage of Sri Krishnamacharya, we affirm that anyone who can breathe can practice yoga. The Lakshmi Rising technique makes the practice accessible to all. We “fit the Yoga to the body rather than trying to fit the body into the Yoga”.
Benefits include grace, flexibility, strength, balance and well-being in the body and mind. You may also feel a sense of purpose, clarity, creativity, focus, connection, inner peace and confidence.
We are influenced by the Yoga lineage of Sri Krishnamacharya taught directly from his son TKV Desikachar, Classical Ta**ra from the teachings of Sri Kapilnath and Sri Mahendranath, Gabrielle Roth's 5 Rhythms, Shiva Rea’s Prana Flow and the ageless Wisdom imparted by great sages and artists from cultures near and far. Lakshmi Rising Vinyasa Yoga integrates time tested traditions with modern knowledge and insights designed to awaken and inspire you.
Our Yoga Teacher Training immersions are held the Eco-Estate The Sanctuary at Two Rivers in Costa Rica’s Blue Zone, a Charming Farmhouse near Cortona, Italy, a Wine Resort & Villa in Verona, Italy and a Luxurious Chateau in South of France.
