Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora, Tenerife.

Fantastic 5 Stars Luxury Resort, located in front of the ocean with the view of unforgettable sunsets, 500 rooms, 9 restaurants and the largest outdoor salt water swimming pool in Europe, "The Infinity Pool".

I worked here as a Massage Therapist for 3 years, from the beginning of 2017 to the end of 2019. After many years living in Rome, I dreamed of moving to live in a quiet place by the sea, where it's always warm and where I could live more in contact with nature... and this place was Tenerife "La Isla de la Eterna Primavera".

This dream came true thanks to my new Spa Manager Angela del Rey who take me to work with her great team in the sanctuary-like Spa by Clarins with 13 massage cabins, 5 of which were built outside like stilt houses in a oriental garden with waterfalls and water flowing under the wooden floor of the cabins, surrounded by palm trees and chirping birds.

I think it's every massage therapist's dream to be able to work outdoors, in the sunlight and fresh salty air, surrounded by nature and lulled by the sound of flowing water, singing birds, while admiring the sky, the ocean and the pure magic of the sunset 🌅

It was in 2015 and I could not believe my eyes when, thanks again to my spa manager .fabiana, I found myself working and growing professionally in this amazing Spa, located on the top floor of a luxurious dream hotel located right in the heart of Rome, a stone's throw from the Colosseum! A dream comes true ✨️🤍

Where everything started! here I got my very first job as a massage therapist! It was the beginning of 2015 and I had just finished the massage school at the ISU - "Istituto di Scienze Umane" in Rome and I was very excited to start this fantastic new adventure. "Myofascial Release is mostly a change of focus. Instead of targeting specific muscles and giving them a good squeeze, we're grabbing the broad sheets of fascia and taking them for a ride. We create traction in the fascia by engaging it at an angle, dragging it along like a rumpled bedspread that needs smoothing.

Of course, the tissue itself doesn't need to be smoothed out, and that's not something that we can accomplish with our hands. Instead, we're smoothing out the nervous system. We're using the fascia as a lever, dragging it slowly along, and allowing the body and brain to get a picture of its own connectedness. We're also engendering an increase in local blood flow and a reduction in muscle tone.

And last but not least, Myofascial Release also feels good! It's a very interesting and soothing way to have someone work with your body, not only giving you a sense of how you're put together, but also giving you a wonderful feeling of freedom when you stand up from the table."
