As we repeat what we don't repair, it's clear that psychological wounds are often unseen and trapped in the body. The Somatic narrative is quite untapped in psychology, and right now we have enough knowledge and talent to retrieve body's intelligence and allow it to express.

What's special about this training?
It finally brings together trauma-informed practice and advanced Somatic Psychology in one - with creative pulse and innate curiosity to explore our body's potential.

This intensive experience provides practical tools and somatic sequences to assist your students and clients in becoming more safely embodied and present.

A set of fundamental exercises to induce natural muscle tremors and to release deep-seated physical and emotional tension such as TRE and Somatic Experiencing techniques will be introduced to help individuals fully connect with their bodies and step beyond the mat or the studio.

Our Story

Alquimia is an intentional space and an educational centre nested in the heart of Portugal where creative arts and healing are combined for self-realization and methamorphosis to occur. After many years passed in the rainforests of Latin America, studying and experiencing shamanism amd traditional medicine, we embraced this stream of knowledge and made it more accessible through unconventional teachings, intensive courses and isolation retreats in nature. Ecology, Mycology, Entheogenic Research, Psychedelic Therapy and Herbalism are here unified toward a more innovative, environmentally conscious way of living. We observe nature and we operate in lucidity exploring consciousness, alternative modalities to build, eat, learn, express and produce.
