† Today, our hearts are broken. The Storz family, our employees and our Supervisory Board mourn the loss of our beloved Dr. h. c. mult. Sybill Storz, who passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 88. From 1996 to 2018, she ambitiously led our company in its second generation and subsequently took over as chair of our Supervisory Board.

With her passing, we have not only lost a family member and an outstanding entrepreneurial figure, but also a remarkable individual who shaped the future of MedTech and our company with passion, dedication and foresight—while always going the extra mile.

Her unwavering commitment to the family business, her social engagement to leave this world as a better place, and her strong ties to the community extended far beyond her roots in the Tuttlingen region, which she always called home.

We will miss Sybill Storz very much, but we are proud that her legacy will continue to guide us. With deep respect and sincere gratitude, we honor her life’s work. She never sought the spotlight but rather wanted to make a difference through her actions.

With this in mind, we kindly ask you to refrain from sending flowers to the family and instead—if you would like to follow her example—to support the valuable work of her final heartfelt project, the KARL STORZ Foundation, in promoting medical aid for children and families in need.
