I’m slowly finding my feet again.

It feels like I’ve been in transition for a long time.

Right now, I’m soaking in the colours of high summer while already longing for the golden pull of fall.

I feel a deep call for nourishment — body, mind, and heart.

I embody what I offer in my movement classes; it’s the only way I know how to teach.

And right now, that means grounding and feeling into the depth of my own body, an exploration with nothing but care.

Join me.

Practice for Palestine 🕊️

On Saturday, June 21st at 8am PT, I’ll be offering a workshop for breath + core and connection in solidarity with Palestine as part of the 11th annual International Day of Yoga along side and many others from all over the world.

I believe in a free Palestine and the right to self-determination for all oppressed people.

This offering is a Global Call to Action — a way to gather, breathe, move, and imagine freedom for all.

All donations will go to Camp Al-Jawad, a free educational camp for displaced children in Gaza providing food, water, clothes, education, psychological support, and more.

Your presence matters.
Your practice matters.

I am deep in it right now.

Solo parenting for months. Navigating a huge move for me and my family. It’s both a returning and a beginning. That paradox is ripping me wide open.
And I’m tired—mentally, emotionally, soul-level tired.

I’m holding so much. Not just for myself, but for three small humans who need me more than ever. And I keep wondering… how are we supposed to keep going like this?

I thinking…

We have to keep coming back to our bodies. Even if it’s less. Even if it’s messy.
We have to stop choosing movement and wellness practices that punish us.
We have to stop consuming things that feed the story that we’re not enough.

Those are lies.

This moment? It’s asking for something else.
More remembering. More tenderness.
More body. Less noise.
More why am I really here and less how do I keep up.

If you’re barely holding it together, you’re not alone.

If you’re crying in the car or breathing on the floor or dancing in the kitchen just to feel something—same.

There’s still power in that.

This season is not about perfection. It’s about presence.

Not performance, but truth.

How are you supporting your body right now?
Tell me. Let’s talk about that.

With care,
Jes

Sunday Afternoon naps.

I’ve wanted nothing more than to teach my daughter how to rest.

In order to do that I’ve had to teach myself.

Who knew we were learning it together.

She’s a better rester than I am now.

And that brings me the greatest pride.

What a gift it is to learn to rest beside her.

Hi Friends!

Just a little update on my knee.

It’s healing.

It’s not like it was.

It’s a new version of its self.

It’s going to take time to get to know it in this new way.

And that’s ok.

It’s still pretty awesome and I am so grateful for the way my body takes care of itself.

Thanks for all the love and support.

Let’s get back to classes this Monday, January 15th.

Join me for movement and yoga inspiration.

I love nothing more than to cheer you on and remind you that you are truly unique and your body is yours to explore! ✨

“Where we think we need more discipline, we usually need more self-love.”
-Tara Mohr

I recently made the decision to use the word commitment rather than discipline when its comes to my movement practices and self care tools.

I choose to move my body not to change it or in fear of it changing.

I choose to love the body that will continue to carry me through this precious life that I get to live.

The life that hikes through the mountains, eats delicious food, is a part of a serious soccer family, one that dances, laughs, cries a lot and the one that is growing older, wiser and more attuned to its needs everyday.

I am my body and my body is my life.

I want to feel strong but I also what to experience my softness.

I want to work hard but I want to rest more.

I want to work against what I’ve been told to be and instead evolve into who I am. And let’s be realistic you have to care a lot about the person you’ve been told to be in order to remember who you’re meant to be.

I’m not interested in absolutes or learning from those who claim expertise. How could anyone be an expert on me, my choices and the way I move through the world?

It is a privilege to care about your health.

We are bombarded by the latest trends, black or white thinking and fall victim to how we think we should be.

Full stop. I’m not interested.

Instead, I am committing to loving myself. Over and over again.

When your shelves are full of objects that remind you of times when you were living deep in your body.

Each object a glimmer transporting you back to a time of being in so much ease.

Every glance reminds you of your story. Of how far you’ve come.

When you are surrounded by things that bring you to your body there are ample opportunities to practice presence.

This too is another way to practice embodiment. Being in your body.

Notice how your body feels when you look around your space.

Do the things in your home bring you to your body?

Be gentle.

Report back to me. I seriously want to know how your space makes you feel.
