Elunit laboratory equipment Elunit is a company from Belgrade (Serbia), that manufactures and sells medical devices for experimental Medicine and Veterinary Medicine.

Company Elunit was established in June 1990. The company offered variety of repair services of medical equipment that were used in research labs at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade. Due to numerous difficulties in obtaining expensive foreign equipment, Elunit accepted offers to start making medical laboratory equipment required by the research labs at the Faculty of Medicine. The cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine was expanded over the years. The new products were manufactured along with the new sensors which were completely up to date with requested characteristics, and they were found to be an adequate replacement of the foreign products. At this time, Elunit still provides services of medical equipment that are used in research labs. Within our gallery of products, we can also offer computer-based products, which include a harmonized combination of software and hardware. Simple graphic – oriented interface provides acquisition in real time, analysis and data storage, as well as control of the output parameters. A variety of experiments in which are used our apparatus and published papers in prestigious national and international journals are proof of the reliability and quality of our devices. Quality, customization needs, unique hardware and software solutions as well as much more affordable prices of our products set us apart from other manufacturers of similar devices. Certain parts of the software regulated system for testing on isolated organs and improvement of the existing systems incurred during the project – technical development for 2008/2009. Financed by the Ministry of Science of the Republic of Serbia. The whole project was accomplished at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Belgrade, which was the bearer of the project.

Rotarod uređaj zajedno sa upravljačkim programom predstavlja namenski sistem za ocenu motoričke sposobnosti koja se izvode nad eksperimentalnim životinjama. Test je zasnovan na rotirajućem valjku na koji se stavljaju životinje (najčešće glodari). Životinje su prinuđene da hodaju brzinom koja je podešena. Njihovim padom sa valjka se meri vreme koje su na njemu provele.Rota Rod pruža lak način da se testiraju efekti lekova, oštećenja mozga ili zamora kod glodara.

Two-channel software-regulated system for testing isolated organs provides conditions of the experiment, electrical impulses for stimulation and accurate registering of the acquired signals. For all necessary given conditions to be fulfilled, it consists of the following components:

1. Thermostated bath systems (volume 20L)
2. Pinch valve system for filling and emptying small tissue baths with prarations
3. Isometric transducer
4. Bridge amplifier for force measurement
5. Electronic stimulator
6. Electrodes for electrical fild stimulation
7. User program, software
