My passion for yoga—its core principles, philosophical foundations, and way of life—is profound and heartfelt. Lawyer by day, yogi for life - Yoga serves as a a sanctuary of peace and connection, guiding me on a journey of personal growth and enhancement, not only physically but also mentally and spiritually. Yogini, wife, mother, traveller and lifelong lover of books...My dream is to teach yoga t

o all. The word Nectar has a double meaning for me as it perfectly encapsulates the studio's essence, as Yoga undeniably enriches LIFE with its sweetness and karmically forms part of my name, Nectaria. I look forward to welcoming all to our studio - from novices to seasoned yoga practitioners. Yoga's beauty lies in its inclusivity, catering to everyone regardless of age, gender, health, or fitness levels. Whether your goal is to achieve a fulfilling stretch or to delve deeper into your yoga journey, there is something to offer everyone. The logo of the modest humming bee, symbolises vitality and life whilst serving as a gentle nod to the Humming Bee pranayama (a soothing and powerful yogic breathing technique).

Old European cities have a special place in my heart and always move me.

As a South African who deeply loves both Africa and Asia, there is still something uniquely stirring about walking through the streets of old European cities. I often find myself wondering who walked these same roads before us, what these cities have witnessed over the centuries, and how many generations have come and gone beneath their balconies, cathedrals, and stone alleyways.

Empires rose and disappeared, ideologies flourished and faded, yet the buildings remain — standing quietly as keepers of memory. Their walls seem to hold traces of every era, every triumph, every hardship, and every ordinary life lived in between. There is something humbling about realizing that we are only passing through, while these cities continue to endure and remember.

💔

22 years ago today, six keys clinked onto a kitchen counter — and a piece of all of us stayed behind in that empty purple apartment.

May 6, 2004. The night we didn’t just lose a TV show. We lost Thursdays at 8. We lost the comfort of knowing that no matter how bad our week was, Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe would be waiting on that orange couch to make us laugh again.

We grew up with them. We fell in love with them. We learned that “pivot” is funnier the third time, that lobsters mate for life, and that sometimes the family you choose is the one that saves you.

And then — just like that — they were gone. One last look. One last hug. One last “where?”

The lights went out in apartment 20. But somewhere, in every rerun, every quoted line, every orange couch we’ve ever spotted in a coffee shop, they’re still there. Still laughing. Still loving. Still ours.

Because some shows end. But Friends? Friends never really left.

We’ll be there for you. Always.

To find mindfulness, we have to quiet the chatter in our minds… not silence it completely.

That inner voice can sometimes become destructive because we spend so much of our lives inside our own heads — and often, we are our own harshest critics.

We need to learn:
❤️ how to speak kindly to ourselves.
💚to see life as an adventure.
💙to stay in awe of the little things and find inspiration within ourselves.

It’s not easy, and it’s a lot to ask of ourselves.

But if we train our minds daily, our outlook on life — and in turn, our lives — can become so much better. That’s what a mindset shift is all about.

For me, I’m still taking baby steps and I’m definitely a work in progress… but I won’t give up. Still in training 🏃 🧠

Anyone else feel the same? 💭

If you hate everyone, eat something warm.
If it feels like everyone hates you, sleep before believing it.
If you hate yourself, shower slowly and begin again.
If you’re tired, walk gently until your thoughts soften.
If you’re stressed, pause long enough to hear your own breathing.
If you’re sad, find sunlight and let your body move with it.
If you’re scared, hold someone — even if it’s only yourself.

You are not a machine.
Sometimes the soul asks for very ordinary things.

First you are a SOUL!
