Η 51 χρονη ασθενής υπέφερε από χρόνιο αυχενικό άλγος το οποίο οφειλόταν κυρίως στην κακή σταση του σώματος της λόγω του βάρους των μαστων της.
Υποβλήθηκε σε μειωτική και ανόρθωση μαστων πριν 1 χρόνο και εκτοτε απολαμβάνει την καθημερινότητα της χωρίς ίχνος δυσφορίας.

She underwent breast reduction and lift surgery one year ago and has since been enjoying her daily life completely free of discomfort.

Η 48χρονη ασθενής μας, μετά την ολοκλήρωση της οικογένειάς της και την απόκτηση δύο παιδιών, επιθυμούσε να βελτιώσει την εικόνα της κοιλιάς της. Δεν επιθυμουσε όμως την διεξαγωγή κοιλιοπλαστικής, αλλά τη μείωση του τοπικού λίπους.
Υποβλήθηκε σε λιποαναρρόφηση τύπου VASER 3D Lipo, επιτυγχάνοντας ένα καλλίγραμμο σώμα και λεπτή μέση, όπως πάντοτε επιθυμούσε.

Our 48-year-old patient, after completing her family and having two children, wished to improve the appearance of her abdomen. However, she did not wish to undergo an abdominoplasty, but instead opted for the reduction of localized fat.
She underwent VASER 3D liposuction, achieving a well-contoured body and a slim waist, exactly as she had always desired.
Η 40χρονη ασθενής μας, προσήλθε στο ιατρείο μας λόγω ενοχλήσεων στο μαστό μετά από αυξητική μαστού το 2007. Υποβλήθηκε σε μαγνητική τομογραφία η οποία έδειξε ενδοκαψική ρήξη ενθεμάτων.
Υποβλήθηκε σε αλλαγή ενθεμάτων με εκτομή της ινώδης κάψας αλλά και διόρθωση της υπομάστιας αύλακας στην οποία παρουσιαζόταν έντονη ασυμμετρία.
Χρησιμοποιήθηκαν ενθέματα Motiva Ergonomix, με μεσαία προβολή και όγκο 425cc δεξιά και 450cc αριστερα.

Our 40-year-old patient presented to our clinic with breast discomfort following a breast augmentation performed in 2007. An MRI was performed, revealing an intracapsular implant rupture.
The patient proceeded with implant replacement, including capsulectomy (removal of the fibrous capsule), as well as correction of the inframammary fold, where significant asymmetry was noted.
Motiva Ergonomix implants were used, with medium projection and volumes of 425cc on the right and 450cc on the left, to achieve optimal symmetry and a natural result.
Can the breasts become identical after breast reconstruction following cancer?
In cases of breast cancer, a patient may undergo either a lumpectomy or a mastectomy, meaning that the breast gland is partially or completely removed from at least one breast.
If the patient has also undergone radiotherapy, in addition to the reduction or loss of breast tissue, we often see skin hardening and tissue changes. This results in a breast with a firm, altered outer envelope and reduced internal volume.
When we proceed with breast reconstruction on that side by placing an implant, the reconstructed breast is composed primarily of the implant.
• In the case of a lumpectomy, there is a reduced amount of remaining breast tissue over the implant.
• In the case of a mastectomy, the outer envelope consists only of the remaining skin.
It is therefore logical that this reconstructed breast will not have the same texture, softness or natural feel as the opposite breast, which is composed entirely of fat, breast gland and skin.
Our goal is always to offer patients the best possible result, but this outcome does not depend solely on us as plastic surgeons. It also depends on the initial conditions with which the patient comes to us. Our responsibility is to clearly explain to each patient what the given conditions are and what is realistically achievable in their individual case.
Every woman who has gone through breast cancer wishes to regain her lost sense of self and the body she had before her illness. Unfortunately, in many cases, this is not always fully possible.

Η καλλίγραμμη 45χρονη ασθενής μας, μετά την απόκτηση τριών παιδιών τα οποία θήλασε για χρόνια, μας επισκέφθηκε ζητώντας την αποκατάσταση της αρμονίας των μαστών της.
Στόχος της δεν ήταν τόσο η αύξηση σε μέγεθος, όσο η μείωση της πτώσης και χαλάρωσης αλλά και της ασυμμετρίας. Ως μητέρα μικρών παιδιών δεν μπορούσε να διακόψει την καθημερινή της ρουτίνα, γι’ αυτό επιλέξαμε την ελάχιστα επεμβατική μέθοδο Preservé τοποθετώντας ενθέματα E2SM 220cc.

Our well-shaped 45-year-old patient, after having three children whom she breastfed for several years, visited us seeking to restore harmony to her breasts.
Her goal was not so much an increase in size, but rather the correction of sagging, laxity, and asymmetry. As a mother of young children, she could not interrupt her daily routine, so we chose the minimally invasive Preservé technique, placing E2SM 220cc implants for a natural and balanced result.

A question we often receive concerns the size of the implants that can be used with the MIA technique. The implant volumes (cc) used in MIA are completely different from those of conventional implants on the market, as the key difference lies in their projection.
Standard implants have projection on only one side, whereas MIA implants have projection on both sides. With MIA, we can achieve an increase of up to two cup sizes and there are limitations in patient selection based on the diameter and base of the breast.
For patients with a wider chest who desire a larger increase in volume, the Preservé technique is an option. This is a minimally invasive technique, performed under local anesthesia, allowing for an immediate return to daily activities.
The Preservé technique is almost identical to the MIA technique, with the main difference being that the incision is made in the inframammary fold. The incision is again approximately 2.5 cm and a balloon is used to atraumatically create the pocket where the implant will be placed. In this case, MIA dual-projection implants are not used; instead, Ergonomix 2 implants are selected, which are also very soft, elastic and available in all sizes.
Therefore, for a patient who wishes to undergo a breast augmentation procedure that does not interfere with her daily routine and desires an increase of more than two cup sizes, the Preservé technique is the most suitable option.
Choosing the right technique can define the entire outcome. This result exceeded her expectations, aligned with the size she had envisioned, natural in appearance and fully integrated with her body.

Η 41χρονη ασθενής μας, μετά από 2 καισαρικές τομές και σημαντική αύξηση βάρους (περίπου 30 κιλά σε κάθε εγκυμοσύνη), παρουσίαζε:
•Έντονη διάσταση των ορθών κοιλιακών μυών
•Χαλάρωση δέρματος και λιποδυστροφία στην κοιλιακή χώρα
Για την αποκατάσταση, πραγματοποιήθηκε:
•Εκτεταμένη λιποαναρρόφηση με VASER 3D Lipo, για γλυπτική του κορμού και αφαίρεση του περιττού λίπους

Our 41-year-old patient, after two C-sections and significant weight gain (approximately 30 kg during each pregnancy), presented with:
• Severe diastasis of the re**us abdominal muscles
• Skin laxity and lipodystrophy in the abdominal area
For restoration, the following procedures were performed:
• Extensive liposuction with VASER 3D Lipo, for body contouring and removal of excess fat
• Abdominoplasty, to repair the re**us muscle diastasis and remove excess skin

H Δρ Ηλιάνα Στρούθου μεγάλωσε στη Λάρνακα της Κύπρου. Από πολύ νωρίς εξέφρασε την αγάπη της για την Ιατρική την οποία μετέτρεψε σε στόχο ζωής.
Μετά την αποφοίτηση της από την βασική εκπαίδευση μετακόμισε στην Λειψία της Γερμανίας ακολουθώντας το όνειρο της. Σπούδασε στη Ιατρική Σχολή του Πανεπιστημίου της Λειψίας – Universität Leipzig, στο δεύτερο παλαιότερο σε συνεχή λειτουργία Πανεπιστήμιο της Γερμανίας.
Τελείωσε την ειδικότητά της στην Πλαστική, Αισθητική και Επανορθωτική Χειρουργική σε μεγάλα Πανεπιστημιακά και ιδιωτικά Νοσοκομεία της Γερμανίας, όπως το Πανεπιστημιακό Νοσοκομείο της Λειψίας, την Κλινική Αισθητικής Χειρουργικής και Κέντρο Μαστού στο Schwerin και την Κλινική Πλαστικής και Επανορθωτικής Χειρουργικής με Κέντρο Εγκαυμάτων του Νοσοκομείου St. Georg στην Λειψία, η οποία κατέχει πιστοποιήσεις Ηand Trauma and Replantation Center από την HTC/FESSH ( Hand Trauma Committee oft the European Societies for Surgery of the Hand) . Εκεί της δόθηκε η δυνατότητα να εκπαιδευτεί στις πιο σύγχρονες τεχνικές κοσμητικής πλαστικής χειρουργικής, αποκατάστασης και μικροχειρουργικής από παγκοσμίου φήμης επιστήμονες.
Είναι κάτοχος διδακτορικού μετά από ολοκλήρωση έρευνας με θέμα «Role of bone morphogenetic protein 7 (BMP – 7) in appetite regulation and adipogenesis» σε συνεργασία με το κέντρο παχυσαρκίας του Πανεπιστημίου της Λειψίας.
Η πρακτική της εμπειρία ξεκίνησε με κοσμητικές επεμβάσεις σε ασθενείς μετά από χειρουργικές και μη θεραπείες νοσογόνου παχυσαρκίας καθώς επίσης και στην χειρουργική αφαίρεση καρκινωμάτων δέρματος.
Στην συνέχεια ειδικεύτηκε στις αισθητικές επεμβάσεις προσώπου και μαστού αλλά και στην αποκατάσταση μαστού, όπου ανέπτυξε ένα ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον στην αποκατάσταση μαστού μετά από καρκίνο.
Είχε την ευκαιρία να εκπαιδευτεί σε εξειδικευμένες επεμβάσεις αποκατάστασης μαστού τόσο με ενθέματα αλλά και μέσω μικρο-χειρουργικών επεμβάσεων αποκατάστασης με αυτόλογους ιστούς. Κατά της διάρκεια της εκπαίδευσης της εργάστηκε σε κέντρο εγκαυμάτων όπου η αντιμετώπιση και θεραπεία εγκαυμάτων αλλά και των επιπλοκών τους βρίσκονταν στο επίκεντρο της καθημερινής της εργασίας.
Παράλληλα με τις δραστηριότητες της ολοκλήρωσε και τις σπουδές της στην Διατροφική Ιατρική στο ινστιτούτο ΒΤΒ της Γερμανίας.
Η Δρ. Στρούθου είναι κάτοχος πιστοποιητικού DAS (German Society of Senology), το οποίο απονέμεται μετά από εκπαίδευση και εξετάσεις σε ειδικούς θεραπείας και αποκατάστασης μαστού μετά από καρκίνο.
Λαμβάνει ενεργά μέρος σε πολλαπλά συνέδρια τον χρόνο καθώς θεωρεί ότι η ανελλιπής και συνεχής ενημέρωση για τις πιο σύγχρονες μεθόδους στην πλαστική χειρουργική αποτελεί υποχρέωση αλλά και προϋπόθεση της παροχής θεραπειών προς τους ασθενείς της.
Είναι ενεργό μέλος του DGPRÄG (German Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery), DGCH (German Society of Surgery), ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) και DAS (German Society of Senology).
Μετά από 16 χρόνια διαμονής στη Γερμανία αποφάσισε να επιστρέψει στη γενέτειρα της την Κύπρο όπου προσφέρει τις υπηρεσίες της ως πλαστικός χειρουργός από το Μάρτιο του 2020.
