Η μηχανή DF είναι ένα υπερηχητικό σύστημα που παράγει ένα ηχητικό κύμα 22kHz.
Αυτά τα ηχητικά κύματα παράγονται από τη δόνηση μιας ειδικής κεραμικής κεφαλής και μεταδίδονται μέσω του αέρα.
Ερευνητικές εργασίες έχουν δείξει ότι σε χαμηλότερες συχνότητες ήχου εμφανίζεται καλύτερα διείσδυση του δέρματος
