Dr Agnieszka Swiecicka-Mitsides is Consultant in Endocrinology, Diabetes, Andrology and Internal Medicine, and Associate Professor at the University of Nicosia Medical School. She completed a Specialist Training in Endocrinology, Diabetes and General Internal Medicine in the United Kingdom and subsequently worked as a Consultant Endocrinologist and Diabetologist at the University Hospitals of Derb
y and Burton NHS Foundation Trust where she was a clinical lead for antenatal endocrine services and ran joint clinics in reproductive endocrinology. She also completed a prestigious 3-year Fellowship in Clinical Andrology in 2017 and is a qualified Clinical Andrologist accredited by the European Academy of Andrology. Dr Swiecicka-Mitsides is active in medical research and she was awarded a PhD in Endocrinology from the University of Manchester, UK in 2019 for her research into the role of endocrine factors in unsuccessful ageing and frailty in men. She has presented her work at a number of international conferences and has published articles and book chapters in her area of clinical and academic interest which include reproductive endocrinology, andrology and infertility.
