10 simple steps to improve hormone health? Let's go👇

1. Get physical – exercising for 1.5-2.5 hours each week helps the body produce hormones

2. Eat healthy – think lots of fresh fruits, veg and whole grains (and easy on the processed foods)

3. Get enough sleep – aim for at least 7 hours a night

4. Maintain vitamin D intake – eat oily fish like salmon and sardines, and consider supplements (with your doctor's advice) in autumn and winter months

5. Eat iodine-rich foods – seafood, seaweed, eggs and dairy help keep your iodine levels up

6. Eat calcium-rich foods – yoghurt, almonds, beans, and dark leafy greens help protect your bones and teeth

7. Avoid plastic packaging – use glass or stainless steel containers, drink tap water instead of bottled water (and never microwave plastic!)

8. Improve indoor air quality – regularly vacuum, dust and ventilate to reduce the presence of hormone-disrupting dust particles

9. Check the ingredients on care and cosmetic products – try to avoid those that contain phthalates, parabens and triclosan

10. Be aware of early signs and symptoms of endocrine disorders so you can get a quick diagnosis.
