🌷What is Beta HCG?🩸
Beta HCG hormone is a hormone known as the pregnancy hormone among people. It is used in pregnancy tests to determine whether a person is pregnant or not. Experts express the test to measure the beta HCG hormone in different ways.

⭐️There are 2 types of HCG Hormone, Beta and Alpha. During the pregnancy test, the Beta hormone is examined and is called Beta HCG. Beta HCG hormone is secreted by the placenta with the occurrence of fertilization. After fertilization, a blood test is performed between 10 days and 14 days and a high value can be observed in the Beta HCG hormone as a result of the blood test.

💁🏻‍♀️Beta HCG hormone varies between 0-10 mlU/ml in a healthy non-pregnant woman. In fact, it is usually seen at values around 0.

🧐How to Take a Beta HCG Test🩸
Beta HCG test is done by drawing blood. You don't need to be hungry or full for the test. Beta HCG value is not affected by hunger or satiety.

↘️ How Much Beta HCG Increases Per Day?
Beta HCG doubles every 2 days. However, in scientific studies, an increase of at least 66% every two days is considered an indicator of a healthy pregnancy. If there is no doubling in 2 days, there are 2 possible diagnoses.
• Ectopic pregnancy
• Unhealthy intrauterine pregnancy

↘️When should a blood pregnancy test be done in IVF?
The timing of the blood pregnancy test in IVF depends on the day on which the embryo is transferred. If the 3rd day embryo is transferred, the pregnancy test is done 12 days later. If the embryo is transferred on the 5th day, the blood pregnancy test should be done 10 days after the transfer. ✅

🤰In Which cases we suggest tandem treatment?
↪️Tandem Treatment is an in vitro fertilization procedure preferred by our patients who had many unsuccessful IVF attempts and want to give their eggs a last chance. Thanks to this process, if the number of eggs and their quality is not sufficient for the treatment it will be supported by donor eggs.

↪️Treatment Stages:
🔹️In the treatment period, ovarian stimulation injections is started for the development of the mother's own eggs. Simultaneously, a young, healthy and fertile donor start receiving the treatment. When the eggs are ready, first the patient and then the donor are taken to the egg retrieval. The collected eggs are fertilized separately with the s***m sample taken from the candidate father. On the 5th day following embryo development, the embryos with the highest pregnancy potential are transferred by looking at the quality of development.

↪️Advantages of Tandem Cycle:
✔️ The patient gets the chance to be treated with her own egg for the last time before going through donation treatment.
✔️ Since donor eggs are used, the pregnancy success rate is higher.
✔️ In treatments where the patient's own egg development does not occur, the procedure won’t be cancelled. It will be completed in the form of egg donation.

What does an AMH test tells you?

An AMH test tells you the estimated number of eggs you have and whether your ovaries might be aging too quickly. It may reveal that you have a shorter window to get pregnant.

❗️An AMH test measures levels of anti-mullerian hormone, which corresponds to a person’s egg count, healthcare providers frequently use the test in women mainly to provide a snapshot of a woman’s reproductive health.

🤔What is a good AMH level for your age?

AMH levels naturally decline with age, so it’s normal to see a lower ovarian reserve in your 30's, 40's and 50's.
For actual numbers, consider these estimates, which are on the lower side of the spectrum for each respective age:
• 25 years old: 3.0 ng/mL.
• 30 years old: 2.5 ng/mL.
• 35 years old: 1.5 ng/ mL.
• 40 years old: 1 ng/mL.
• 45 years old: 0.5 ng/mL.

⚠️Higher AMH levels aren’t always a good thing. AMH may be high in some people with polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS).
