Today at the Global Women Meeting in Paphos, we talked about sales and marketing. ✨

And once again, it hit me:

SERENA’S STORY: When pain is no longer just an emotion, but a way of life ✨

There are moments when pain becomes so heavy that you no longer feel it only emotionally, but also physically. Serena came to me carrying years of anxiety, panic attacks, and deep sadness that had taken away her sense of peace.

Her breathing, her sleep, even daylight had become “too much” for her.

When you lose someone you love, grief does not always fade with time. Sometimes it stays in the body, the nervous system, and the emotions for years. You lose your sense of safety, stability, and a part of yourself. Serena had remained emotionally stuck in an unspoken goodbye after losing her mother, carrying pain that was never fully processed.

What did we do in therapy?

We did not try to erase the memories. We did not force forgetting. Through hypnotherapy, I guided her from the noise of the mind into a place of emotional safety and connection within herself.

Today I had the pleasure of attending the 1st Mediterranean Leadership & Coaching Summit in Limassol, at the Amathus Hotel.

An event that reminded me how important it is to choose the right environment for your growth.

⚜️ The speakers brought real value and inspiration, while the energy of the people added a special depth to the entire experience. The connections were natural, authentic, and effortless.

One key insight I’m taking with me: Modern leadership is no longer about control… but about presence, awareness, and the ability to guide rather than impose.

Professional coaching values reinforced for me that: – we don’t need to have all the answers… but the courage to ask the right questions
– stress is not managed through control… but through inner clarity
– real connections cannot be forced… they are felt

Social Anxiety doesn’t start when you arrive. It starts hours before… in your head.

You’re getting ready for a simple meetup, but instead of excitement, you feel an invisible pressure building up.

It’s not just "nerves." It’s an entire process that exhausts you before you even step out the door:

🔹 You obsessively rehearse conversations that haven't even happened yet.

🔹 You change your outfit 5 times because nothing feels "safe" or "right."

🔹 Sometimes, the noise in your head gets so loud that the only relief is canceling at the last minute.
You feel an instant wave of relief when you send that "I can’t make it" text—but it usually comes with a heavy dose of guilt.

And if you do go?
You might find yourself hiding behind your phone or staying quiet just to feel secure.

Then, after you leave, the "social autopsy" begins:

●Was I awkward?
●Why did I say that?
●Did they even like me?

The truth is: You aren't "awkward." You aren't "too much" or "not enough."

The biggest barrier in your career isn’t a lack of experience — it’s the fear of hearing “No.”

Fear of rejection is like standing in front of a door you’re convinced is locked…
Most of the time, you just haven’t tried the handle.

Here’s how to deal with it:
1️⃣ Reframe the “No”
Rejection isn’t a verdict on your worth — it’s feedback.
A “no” usually means wrong timing, wrong fit, or the wrong person… not wrong you.
It’s redirection, not failure.

2️⃣ Practice low-stakes rejection
Train your nervous system.
Ask for small things where the risk is minimal — a discount, a favor, a simple question.
You’ll quickly realize: the world doesn’t end when you hear “no.”

3️⃣ Focus on action, not outcome
If your goal is the result, rejection feels like failure.
If your goal is taking action — sending the message, making the call — you’ve already won.
Measure courage, not outcomes.

4️⃣Use the 5-year rule
Will this rejection matter in 5 years? 5 months? Even 5 weeks?
Probably not.
But the regret of not trying… might

Rejection isn’t something to avoid—it’s proof you’re playing at a bigger level. If you’re never rejected, you’re probably not asking for enough.
