This patent, the "mechanical infant pedaling gym", promised future soccer stars and free hands for parents. While it was considered ingenious back then, we now know that true motor development is about natural movement. Overusing mechanical gadgets, past or present, can negatively affect natural motor skills.

Blast from the past: The 1960s "innovation"! 🕰️

In the 1960s, a new trend emerged for parents and therapists: the bungee cord baby carrier. The baby was placed in a fabric sling, suspended from a horizontal bar, and bounced.

While this was a clever way to free up parents' hands and encourage leg movement back then, science has since evolved.
Overusing similar modern gadgets can affect motor development.
They are fine for a ‘quick’, hands-free break, with proper head alignment, but Not for daily use.! 👇
