How many of you have fed your baby a bottle of your breastmilk that they didn’t finish at their previous feed? Did you put it back in the fridge and then reheat for the next feed? Did you keep it out at room temperature and use it within a certain timeframe?

Q: Should breastmilk left over from a feeding be dumped immediately (like formula), or can you save it and give it to baby later? A: It should be safe to save the left-over milk and use it at the next feeding.

Do you know why breastfeeding is important for your health?

Women who have breastfed are less likely to develop heart disease or a stroke or die from cardiovascular diseases.

A study of 160 breastfeeding mothers in SA found that mums who breastfed for 6 months or more had lower blood pressure.

This is very important for mums who have had complications in pregnancy, such as preeclampsia, gestational hypertension or gestational diabetes. These factors increase a mother’s risk of having a stroke or heart disease.

Όποιος δηµόσια και κατά τρόπο που ενέχει απειλητικό ή υβριστικό ή προσβλητικό χαρακτήρα προφέρει οποιαδήποτε λέξη ή δηµιουργεί ήχο, ώστε να ακούγεται από οποιοδήποτε άλλο πρόσωπο ή προβαίνει σε χειρονοµία ή τοποθετεί οποιοδήποτε αντικείµενο ή διανέμει γραπτά κείμενα ή κείμενα με εικονογραφήσεις ή συμπεριφέρεται απρεπώς ή προβαίνει σε οποιαδήποτε άλλη πράξη με σκοπό να παρεμποδίσει μητέρα η οποία θηλάζει, είναι ένοχος αδικήματος και, σε περίπτωση καταδίκης του, υπόκειται σε χρηματική ποινή που δεν υπερβαίνει τις τρεις χιλιάδες ευρώ (€3.000)."
