Breastfeeding in Cyprus I am an IBCLC that offers prenatal breastfeeding education and breastfeeding support through online I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

I'm also a registered nurse trained in the U.S. I have four sons which has given me seven and a half years of personal breastfeeding experience. My goals are helping to educate women in breastfeeding, assisting them on learning how to breastfeed, and helping them overcome any problems should they arise. Breastfeeding is the perfect nutrition for baby and has tremendous health benefits for both mother and baby. I look forward to helping mothers give their babies the best start in life! If you are breastfeeding, have ever breastfed, or plan on breastfeeding please use this page as a support group. Women who have breastfed are less likely to develop heart disease or a stroke or die from cardiovascular diseases.

A study of 160 breastfeeding mothers in SA found that mums who breastfed for 6 months or more had lower blood pressure.

This is very important for mums who have had complications in pregnancy, such as preeclampsia, gestational hypertension or gestational diabetes. These factors increase a mother’s risk of having a stroke or heart disease.
