Stella Sifaki led a sedentary life from a young age, studying Philology, with what impact it had on her body, her appearance, and her physical and mental state in general. She started dancing in the year 2000 after a very serious car accident, almost costing her her life. After breaking all her bones and after 45 days in bed in complete stillness, she valued her body for the first time in her life
and realized how invaluable a gift it is to be able-bodied. She began systematically CranioSarcal Therapy, learned the Body Language, and began a literal and metaphorical dialogue with her body. Stella learned then, that the Human Body is identified with the movement - without movement, the Body becomes inert, sick, getting older, and eventually dying. Swimming, Painting, and Dance became in a Daily Programm. Because Body as a living entity wanted to express itself in every way ... so she began Tango as a serious hobby in the beginning, as a means of Expression and a true Way of Living afterward!
Stella Sifaki traveled to Buenos Aires and participated in a variety of Seminars from Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne, Eugenia Parilla, Geraldine Rojas, Pablo Nievas, Valleria Zunino, and Kalganova Eleonora. She watched e-marketing Seminars close to Chris Lazarides and studied Music close to Pavlina Makromina. She specialized in Choreographies, Musicality, and Video Editing. In the year 2015, Stella Sifaki composed her first Choreographies for Tango Academy on Women's Technique! Tango Zone and Objective Tango hosted these Videos and gave them a Great Success and Thousands of Views. Stella organized the First Cyprus Tango Dance Festival in May 2015 with Kalganova Eleonora and directed the 14 mini-performances with 14 Dance Couples of the Cyprus Tango Community composing the First Tango Fashion Show in Cyprus. The 2nd TANGO FESTIVAL in Cyprus took place in December 2018 in Semeli Hotel with a Great Success. During the First Night of the Tango Festival (Friday 21st Dec, 1st Milonga), the dancers from the Tango Academy: Jean Philippe Ricau, Mila Felicita, Marina Nikiforou, and Elias Mavrommatis w proudly performed a Tango and a Vals Argentino. Blending together their energy, passion, joy, and laughter, they have accomplished an outstanding choreography. Their Team Leader, Stella Sifaki feels really very proud of them.
