🔴Proud to share a new publication by Dr. Tzvika Greenbaum:

🔴Beyond breathing, swallowing, and voice production, many questions still remain about the relationship between the superficial and deep neck flexors.

🔴A pilot research series led by the Department of Physical Therapy at Ben-Gurion University, in collaboration with the Physical Therapy and ENT departments at Soroka Medical Center, aims to shed light on this region and its clinical significance.

🔴The first study in the series, published yesterday in a leading journal in the field, examined neck–jaw function in individuals with suspected obstructive sleep apnea [OSA] revealing the relationship between cervical function and sleep-related breathing disorders🔜

Sometimes the tells a deeper story.

Ido, a soldier deployed from the first day of the war, developed that reflected a broader stress-related condition. Clinical assessment revealed significant muscular tension and fascial involvement, and through manual therapy, dry needling, and a multidisciplinary approach, his condition improved.
Ido later chose to participate as a case study in our advanced course, allowing professionals to learn from a real, field-based clinical case.

This is the value of learning from real , not just symptoms💆🏽‍♂️

Dr. Tzvika Greenbaum presented at the 2026 Annual Conference of the Israeli Physiotherapy Association a preliminary study examining the association between musculoskeletal function of the head neck and mandible complex and obstructive sleep apnea.
The work addresses the clinical intersection between musculoskeletal systems, breathing, and a well known problem- breathing related sleep disorders

In the same confrence, Dr. Grinbaum supervised and accompanied physiotherapy students whose academic work was also accepted for conference presentation, including an e-poster focused on the reliability of a proprioceptive assessment of the temporomandibular joint

These contributions reflect CCMA’s approach to professional education: combining research with detailed anatomical knowledge and structured clinical reasoning in day2day practice⤵️
This approach forms the foundation of CCMA’s international head neck and jaw rehabilitation courses led by Dr. Grinbaum

Last Friday, at the Technion lecture complex in Sarona, we led a special session!

Dr. Tzvika Greenbaum delivered a lecture to neurologists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, and specialists in orofacial pain on 'peripheral sensory nerve entrapments in the facial and neck regions' 🔀
We discussed clinical practice, anatomy, and what strong collaboration between physicians and physiotherapists looks like [hint: like this…]
When everyone is focused on a holistic approach that places the patient at the center ✴️

You always leave lectures like these with the feeling that there is still so much work to be done in this field.
For us, this is just the beginning 👀
