Procedures:

🔹 The lab adheres to CAP’s strict guidelines for all procedures, ensuring that every test and process meets the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.

🔹 Testing Methods: All testing methods are regularly reviewed and validated to ensure they reflect the latest scientific advancements and industry standards. This includes rigorous internal and external proficiency testing.

🔹 Regular Inspections: CAP will conduct thorough inspections of Pedieos IVF Center’s lab every two years, evaluating all aspects of lab operations, from equipment calibration and staff competency to safety protocols and lab performance in terms of pregnancy outcomes

After a two-year accreditation process, Pedieos IVF Center is proud to announce that its laboratory in Nicosia has earned accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP).

This prestigious recognition represents a significant milestone for us. As one of the first IVF laboratories in Cyprus and Europe to receive this honor, we have set a new standard of excellence in the region, joining the ranks of more than 8,000 CAP-accredited facilities worldwide.

September - Awareness Month

PCOS a significant public health problem and is one of the most common hormonal disturbances affecting women of reproductive age. The condition affects an estimated 8–13% of women of reproductive age, and up to 70% of cases are undiagnosed.

PCOS can cause hormonal imbalances, irregular periods, excess androgen levels and cysts in the ovaries. Irregular periods, usually with a lack of ovulation, can make it difficult to become pregnant.

In fact, PCOS is one of the leading causes of infertility in women. However, with proper treatment and management, many women with PCOS can become pregnant.

Α χρόνια κορύφωσης της αναπαραγωγικής ικανότητας μιας γυναίκας είναι συνήθως μεταξύ της ύστερης εφηβείας και των είκοσι χρόνων. Μέχρι την ηλικία των 40, η πιθανότητα εγκυμοσύνης σε κάθε εμμηνορροϊκό κύκλο μειώνεται περίπου σε 1 στις 10. Η μείωση της γονιμότητας γίνεται πιο σημαντική μετά την ηλικία των 35, συνοδευόμενη από αυξημένο κίνδυνο αποβολής και επιπλοκών κατά την εγκυμοσύνη.

Η κρυοσυντήρηση ωαρίων προσφέρει μια λύση σε εκείνες τις γυναίκες που επιθυμούν να αναβάλουν την μητρότητα διατηρώντας τα ωάριά τους όταν είναι νεότερες και πιο γόνιμες. Αυτά τα ωάρια μπορούν να χρησιμοποιηθούν για μελλοντική χρήση όταν η γυναίκα είναι έτοιμη να αποκτήσει παιδιά.
