A nationwide comprehensive genomic profiling and molecular tumor board platform for patients with advanced cancer”, the BALLETT study demonstrates how CGP was successfully integrated into routine cancer care across multiple hospitals in Belgium.
Involving over 800 patients with advanced cancers, the study highlighted that 81% had actionable genetic markers— compared to 21% identified
through standard testing. With nine labs delivering results in under a month for most patients, and a national tumor board recommending matched
treatments for nearly 70%, BALLETT proves that decentralized CGP is both feasible and impactful.
