FEBRUARY 🙏

Karmendriyas

In classical Sāṅkhya, perception alone does not bind us.

Bo***ge arises when action unfolds without discrimination.
After understanding the inner instrument,
we now explore the organs through which action enters the world.

The Karmendriyas are not the self,
but instruments of response —
speech, movement, grasping, release, and creation.

This month is not about controlling action,
but about restoring its rightful place
in service of clarity and awareness.

Action guided by Buddhi
moves us closer to freedom.

To those who arrived when the space was quiet,
when the walls were still learning how to listen—
you are not “early.”

You are roots.

You sat on the floor before the floor knew your name,
breathed through silence before it learned to answer back.

Your presence taught the room how to hold.

Now something stirs beneath us.

The skin that once fit
has grown thin with devotion.

We thank it
and we release it.
Because what is coming
needs more room.

This space learned how to breathe
because you were here.

Now the skin grows thin.

Not from damage,
but from growth.

We thank what held us
and step forward together.

More are coming.

The room is listening.
The circle is widening.

Everything expands

JANUARY
The Inner Architecture of Experience
Classical Sāṅkhya: Buddhi · Ahaṃkāra · Manas

💫From sensation to knowing

“Understanding the inner instrument is the key to freedom in Sāṅkhya.”

In classical Sāṅkhya, the question is not:

What exists?

But:

💫How does experience happen?

The answer is:

Not through the senses alone
Not through thought alone
But through an inner mechanism that processes, claims, and judges experience

That mechanism is the Antaḥkaraṇa.

This month, our practice turns inward —
to the subtle architecture through which experience becomes mine.
Understanding the Antaḥkaraṇa is the beginning of freedom in Sāṅkhya.

🌌 Explore the foundational aspects of existence! The Tanmatras— Shabda, Sparsha, Rupa, Rasa, and Gandha—represent the subtle elements that shape our perception of reality and connect us to the five gross elements!

🎶🌬️ Discover the vibrational essence of Shabda (Sound) connected to Ākāśa (Space), and the tactile experience of Sparsha (Touch) linked to Vayu (Air). These subtle perceptions shape our interactions and deepen our understanding of the world around us!

👁️🍽️ Illuminate your senses with Rupa (Form), associated with Tejas (Fire), and savor the essence of Rasa (Taste), connected to Apah (Water). Together, they enhance our experiences and appreciation of life through sight and taste!

🌼💨 Dive into the aromatic world of Gandha (Smell), intricately linked with Prithvi (Earth). Explore how the scents around us influence our emotions and experiences, enriching our connection to nature and memories!

The Tanmatras (subtle elements) are the foundational building blocks of the five gross elements in Samkhya philosophy. Each Tanmatra corresponds to a specific aspect of sensory perception, while the gross elements are the physical manifestations derived from these subtle elements.

✨ Join us this December as we delve into the Tanmatras—the subtle elements that bridge our perceptions and the physical world! Each week, we’ll explore how these fundamental aspects of existence enrich our sensory experiences and spiritual journeys. 🌈 Embrace the wisdom of Samkhya as we connect with the world within and around us! 🧘‍♀️💖

✨🧘‍♂️ Join us next week and throughout November as we delve into the Tattvas— the foundational principles of existence. Each week, we will explore how these elements shape our reality and enhance our connection with the world around us. Let’s embark on this journey of self-discovery and harmony together! 🌍💫

Here is a story that will take us from the macro to the micro since as above so below and as within so without!

🧬 An Analogy of Cosmic Creation: The First Cell

Think of the vast, primordial potential of the universe as Prakriti (Nature)—an unmanifest, undifferentiated sea of energy.

The moment a spark of Purusha (Consciousness) gazes upon it, the dance of creation begins, like the formation of the very first living cell.

First, the unified potential of Prakriti begins to differentiate, giving rise to Mahat (the Great One) or Buddhi (Intelligence)—the nucleus and the central operating system. This is the seed of cosmic intellect, the power to decide and discern.

From this nascent Intelligence emerges Ahamkara (Ego), the boundary or cell membrane that declares, "I am!" and separates the 'self' from the 'non-self'. It is the principle of individuation.

This 'Ego' then casts its will outwards to form the Tanmatras (Subtle Elements)—the fundamental molecular building blocks, the amino acids, and fatty acids.

From these invisible foundations, the gross, tangible world crystallizes: the Maha Bhutas (Gross Elements)—Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space—forming the cytoplasm, the organelles, and the physical structure of the cell itself, bringing the whole organism into manifest existence.

In this way, the Tattvas are not just abstract ideas; they are the step-by-step blueprint from unmanifest potential to the fully individuated, living reality of You.

Let this journey be a discovery of the conscious Purusha within, witnessing the magnificent Prakriti that is your life. What are you waiting to manifest? 🌟

Welcome to Month Two of Our Journey: Exploring the Gunas! 🌼

As we embark on this sacred exploration, we invite you to connect with the Gunas—the three fundamental qualities that shape our thoughts, actions, and spiritual growth.

The Gunas are not mere philosophical constructs; they are living energies that shape our spiritual journey. By understanding and integrating these qualities, we align ourselves with the natural flow of life, navigating the matrix with grace and awareness. Embrace the wisdom of the Gunas on your path to becoming a conscious participant in the grand tapestry of existence—a journey of awakening, self-discovery, and divine realization.

Join me as we delve deeply into these qualities, inviting the wisdom of the gunas into our practice and our hearts. Together, let us awaken the potential within and embolden our path to self-discovery! 🌈

🌟 Week 3: Exploring the Gunas!🌟

I want to thank everyone in advance for participating in our third week on the Gunas in our Samkhya journey!

Together, we explore the three gunas:
- Sattva:purity and calmness,
- Rajas: energy and action,
- Tamas:inertia and confusion.

🔑 Key Insights of this week:
1. Understanding the Gunas:We will contemplate on impact of the gunas on our lives and psyche.
2. Asana and Guna: We will integrate the understanding of the gunas into our asanas.
3. Embracing the Gunas:We will learn to observe our qualities with love and acceptance.

Let’s continue our journey with open minds and hearts. I’m looking forward to seeing you all in our next session this Friday 18:30! 🌈

Fellow seekers,

Thank you all for participating in our second week on Prakriti on our journey to Samkhya!

During our sessions, we explored Prakriti as the material world—the essence of nature and how it interacts with our lives.

Through our practice, we begun contemplating on the three gunas (Sattva, Rajas, Tamas) and discovered how they manifest in our thoughts and feelings.

Our journey allows us to observe how the qualities of Prakriti affect our thoughts and feelings.

Let's reflect on how we can integrate the dynamic ever-changing qualities of Prakriti into our daily lives.

I look forward to week three, where we will dive deeper into the Gunas and their effect in our living experience!
