Our society is structured into various sectors: social, academic, volunteering & perks and benefits. Welcome to the European University Medical School Society (EUCMSS) page! The EUCMSS is for the students at the Faculty of Medicine at the European University Cyprus and represents the student body. We aim to secure professional and social interest of the medical students. As we step into 2026, we want to remind you of one simple truth:
you survived and that matters!
A new year doesn’t require reinvention,just honesty with where you are.

If last year felt heavy, uncertain, or exhausting, know this: making it through was an achievement in itself. Growth doesn’t always look loud, and strength isn’t always visible.

As we move forward, may this year allow space for learning, rest, and becoming at a pace that’s yours. We’re proud of how far you’ve already come, and we’ll continue walking this journey with you.

🐾 Join us for a visit to Hope for Homeless dog shelter where you’ll get the chance to play with and care for dogs who need attention, affection and support!
All students are welcome (Medicine, Dentistry, Vet, and every other faculty)! 🩺🦷🐶💊

🗓️ : 7th of December
🕐 : Bus leaves at 13h00 sharp from the main road and leaves the dog shelter at 16h
📍 : Meeting point EUC Cafeteria (please arrive before 13h)
🚌 : Transportation for EUCMSS members (2€ cash for non-members)

You may also come using your own transportation.

Donations for the shelter are more than welcome (food, blankets, shampoo, etc.)

More than 40 years into the HIV epidemic, we’ve seen groundbreaking progress : ART that saves lives, PrEP that prevents infection, and global programs that have transformed communities. Yet millions still face barriers, stigma, limited access to care, socioeconomic challenges, and disparities that disproportionately affect marginalized groups.

As future physicians, we’re part of the ongoing effort to close these gaps. Learn the guidelines, advocate for testing, promote prevention, and treat every patient with dignity.

EUCMSS will be joining Nicosia Mercy Center this year to support their Christmas Day for Refugees, a day dedicated to distributing gifts, food, and creating moments of connection through activities, games, and community sharing.

✨ While this event is not organized by EUCMSS, we are volunteering together to help make the day special for those who need it most and we invite you to join us.

📌 Important:
When registering through the link in our bio, you will see the option to select a date (7th or 14th).
However, the official volunteering day for EUCMSS is the 14th of December only, so please register for that date. ❤️

This year, we’re proud to host a Food Drive in collaboration with Nicosia Mercy Centre to support families in need and refugees within our community. 💛

From providing essential food supplies to spreading hope, every donation (big or small) helps someone get through a difficult time. 🌍🍞

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for this meaningful cause 💕 From the Pink Silhouette Walk in Nicosia to our Breast Cancer Fundraiser Bake Sale, your support, energy, and compassion made it all truly special.

The turnout was incredible! It was great seeing students, faculty, and community members walking together to raise awareness, spread hope, and stand united in the fight against breast cancer 💪🌸

Every step walked and every cupcake sold brings us closer to making a difference. 🩷
