EVERY MOTHER SHOULD BE TALKING TO HER DAUGHTER ABOUT HORMONAL CHANGES.
I am a great beleiver that the more you know the better you live! Some will say the opposite but when it comes to hormones I think we should be teaching our daughters about hormonal changes from an early age!
Talking about hormones acts as a sacred opportunity to help your daughter feel safe, supported, and at home with her body.
Whether she is 10 or 22, just starting or already cycling, these early experiences imprint deeply. They teach her how to rely to her body- and whether she can trust it.
When you meet her with warmth, curiosity, and steadiness, your are doing more than easing cramps or navigating moods. You are giving her a language. A lineage. A knowing that she doesn't have to do this alone.
Sometimes it looks like:
-A warm mug of tea
-A quiet bath and a soft place to land
-Iron-rich foods that nourish and replenish
-A gentle "How's your body feeling today?"
These small moments become a foundation. One she will stand on for the rest of her life.
Because our work isn't just to manage symptoms; it's to guide our daughters back to themselves. To their cycles. Their intuition. Their inner wisdom.
And if you are on this journey too - from your first period to perimenopause - HORMONAL INTELLIGENCE is a beautiful place to begin.
much love,
Alexia
