They’re not.

Women experience a rapid hormonal shift.
Men experience a gradual decline.

TAKE A DEEP BREATH! 😮‍💨

I meet people every day that think that the answer to a healthy lifestyle is:

More discipline.
More workouts.
Less food.
More supplements.

But as we age we need to start supporting our body differently!

Here is how I see it:😀

1. Nourishment matters more than destruction. Underrating only add stress to a body that is already adapting. Built your meals around protein, fiber and carbs to keep your energy steady. 🙃

2. Strength training matters.
Two to three or four intentional sessions per week can change everything. Why ? Because muscle protects metabolism, bone density and long term health. 💪

3. Waking is underrated medicine! Waking supports your heart, regulated blood sugar, and help calm the nervous system. Plus contact with nature.🚶🏻‍♀️

4. Your nervous system needs balance and safety. Sunlight. Regular meals. Quiet moments. Free spirit meals! 🍕

5. Sleep becomes sacred.
Cut caffeine after lunch. 💤
Put the phone away before bed.

6. Relax and connect with your people. Hug and love the people that mean the works to you like there is no tomorrow.

Why the "Intermittent Fasting" trend might be blocking your progress🛑

We see it everywhere, but here is the truth: Prolonged fasting is often incompatible with the unique rhythm of female physiology.

For women, especially those navigating the perimenopausal and menopausal phases, fasting can spike cortisol, our primary stress hormone. When cortisol is high, it doesn't just make us feel "on edge"; it can lead to:
❌ Hormonal imbalances.
❌ Thyroid issues.
❌ Muscle loss (which slows down your metabolism!).

My scientific recommendation? Instead of skipping meals, focus on preservation.

I recommend three main meals centered around high protein consumption, especially in the morning. This stabilizes your blood sugar, regulates your energy, and helps you avoid those late-day cravings.

Your body is not a machine; it’s a delicate ecosystem.

One of the biggest reasons women give up on weight loss in menopause is because they’re using the wrong measure of progress: The scale.

Some clients have NO difference on the scale the first month but they can feel the difference, the clothes feel different, they have many reductions in symptoms.

THIS is what we expect for the MAJORITY of our clients in Menopause weight loss journey:
slow (or no) scale progress for the first part while we tackle many menopause symptoms THEN we start to see that scale drop consistently.

Fat loss does NOT start with the scale going down.
Especially in menopause.

When a client comes to us, they don’t just have “weight gain.”
They usually also have:
• An array of Gut issues
• Lots of sleep concerns
• High inflammation
• Blood sugar instability
• Elevated stress / cortisol
• Low energy
• Hormonal fluctuations
