𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪? 🧬 Early research shows that a new multi-cancer blood test may detect more than 50 types of cancer, including many with no existing screening programme and often at an early, more treatable stage.
In a study conducted across the United States and Canada, involving 25,000 adults, the test identified a cancer signal in confirmed cases and correctly indicated the tumour’s likely origin in most positive results. It also ruled out cancer in more than 99% of negative tests.
While still under evaluation and not a replacement for standard screening, this technology represents a significant step toward earlier diagnosis for cancers that are often detected too late.
Science continues to shape new possibilities in early detection and prevention.
