Shanti Yoga School&Holistic Centre Yoga School and Holistic Center My dream as a child was to become a ballerina...still fascinated by it. Well, mom's dream came true. I have finally met my soul.

Mom though would not let me become one as she said I would get calves with huge muscles and nobody would want to marry me (!). Dad, drag my attention to Yoga somehow understanding I was inclined to it. Spent teenage-hood showing a strong interest in metaphysics & meditation never stopped wondering of the path of the humanity, the soul and the spirit. My paths led me first to the family life but since everything is being pre-programmed, subconscious mind remembered. 2010 proved to be a turning point when something "bad" led to something "good". I got the chance to travel to Celtic Ireland, a place my soul longed for, met my "anam cara" who taught me how to become a hypnotherapist in order to help people through it the way it helped me. From there on, I put my faith in the universe and Yoga Teacher Training became a fact here in Nicosia. Spent three wonderful weeks in the midst of asanas, pranayamas and meditation. Now, after years of fighting with my own being, I can honestly say that not only am I in terms with it, but actually in love with my existence, feeling fulfilled in every way. My goal? To help people get in touch with their inner selves, to teach them how to re-join their bodies with their minds and spirits. To help them become whole again. Afterall what did the ancient Greeks say? "Νους Υγιής Εν Σώματι Υγιή". Irene

WINTER SOLSTICE

On the longest night of the year, the Sun sinks to its deepest rest,
and darkness spreads like a velvet cloak over the Earth.

Time slows - This is the sacred pause—
the moment when nothing grows outward,
yet everything gathers strength within.

In the womb of the night,
light is not gone.
It is dreaming.

The Winter Solstice does not ask for action.
It asks for presence.
For honoring endings.
For sitting beside the fire of inner knowing.

This is the night when shadows are teachers
and stillness is medicine.
The old year loosens its grip,
and the new light is conceived in silence.

From this darkness, the Sun will return—
slowly, faithfully—
reminding us that even in the deepest night,
life is already turning toward the dawn.
