The last Saturday of April is dedicated to "World Tai Chi and Qigong Day", promoting the disciplines in more than 80 countries since 1999. This year it falls on April 25th!
Tai Chi and Qi Gong are both mind-body practices consisting of coordinated body postures, movements, breathing, and meditation that has roots in ancient Chinese medicine, philosophy and martial arts. These practices are widely used for health purposes, as a way to cultivate and balance qi (life energy), so it flows smoothly within us. Scientific research has proved that alpha-theta brain wave produced by mind-body education, such as Tai Chi and Qigong, has the potential to reduce stress, negative emotions and increase a sense of harmony, peace and awareness.
Come and Joint us at the Academia forest park in Nicosia, this Saturday 25th of April, at 8.30 to 9.30 am.
