If you frequently find yourself sitting down and hunched over computers/phones ๐ป then there should be some level of mobility work in a weekly routine.
Due to the benefits of passive stretching I include it in most of the treatments to get the best outcome which possible.๐โโ๏ธโจ
Passive stretching method demands minimal energy compair to active. Is particularly useful for enhancing flexibility. It allows for an extended range of motion beyond one's usual comfort level. The external force aids in pushing or guiding the limb into a motion range that would be unachievable without assistance.
โ๏ธHere I would like to mention that is true passive stretching let bigger range of motion however, active stretching carries (relatively) fewer risks since hereโs no external force, and a stretch is performed completely under your own power, then thereโs less chance of over-stretching.
Passive stretching proves advantageous when you aim to enhance your flexibility beyond the natural limit. By relying on an external force, you can stretch further compared to active stretching.
When I do the passive stretching for you I always ask you to communicate how do you feel, and focus on your limit to avoid discomfort or over stretched muscles. The experience of being stretched by external person without delivering any energy or effort is very pleasent, apart from the benefits on muscles stretching is healthy for the joints as well and good for improving mobility. โ
