** Case Report: Successful Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)**

55 year old post menopausal patient presented with subtle pelvic pain the past months and minor bladder issues. TVUS showed a large, 10cm intramural fibroid at the left anteroinferior wall of the
uterus, causing significant posterior displacement and complete
compression of most of the uterine cavity, as well as inferior
displacement and compression of the urinary bladder explaining the patient's symptoms. MRI was requested that completely confirmed the above and underlined the urinary tract involvement.
The patient had clear clinical signs for surgery , and thus laparoscopic removal of the lesion / Hysterectomy was offered. Patient opted for different options and therefore we proceeded with Endovascular catheterization of the uterine arteries with a microcatheter and embolization with microspheres in collaboration with Dr Nektarios Poullos who performed the embolisation at Nicosia General Hospital . Patient in excellent health after the procedure, exited the hospital and now feeling great. Below some before and after embolisation pictures which are truly amazing.

The course was not only exceptionally educational, but also delivered with the highest level of professionalism and dedication. The hands-on experience, coupled with in-depth theoretical insights, provided a truly enriching learning environment that exceeded expectations.

** Report: Successful Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)**
A 37 year old patient came to our office after multiple surgery centered consultations seeking an alternative way to treat or at least ease her symptoms . Patient wished future fertility and expressed a strong preference to avoid surgical intervention. . She also did not wish GnrH-analogs and hormonal options. The patient presented with six uterine fibroids, the largest measuring 9 cm.
In close collaboration with the Director of the Interventional Radiology Department at Nicosia General Hospital Dr Nektarios Poullos , we proceeded for Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE). The procedure was carried out successfully yesterday, offering her an effective, minimally invasive treatment option.
We want to congratulate and deeply thank Dr Poullos and the state of the art Interventional Radiology Department at Nicosia General Hospital
This case underscores the importance of patient-centered care and the availability of alternatives to traditional surgery for managing uterine fibroids.
Below you will find pictures and videos of the large fibroid vascularity before and after the procedure pointing out the significant reduction of it , and at the same time retaining fertility while sparing the main artery.

Ο εμμηνορρυσιακός κύκλος ή κύκλος περιόδου είναι ένα απολύτως φυσιολογικό και σημαντικό μέρος της ζωή κάθε γυναίκας, για το οποίο δεν πρέπει να νιώθει άβολα ή αίσθημα ντροπής κατά τη συζήτησή του. Η ανταλλαγή εμπειριών και γνώσεων μπορεί να δώσει στις γυναίκες τη δυνατότητα να φροντίζουν καλύτερα τον εαυτό τους.

✔ Η ενυδάτωση και η κατανάλωση νερού και βοτάνων τσαγιού μπορεί να ανακουφίσουν από το φούσκωμα και τη δυσφορία.
✔ Η κατανάλωση τροφών πλούσιων σε θρεπτικά συστατικά, όπως φρούτα, λαχανικά και τροφές με πλειάδα φυτικών ινών, προσφέρουν βιταμίνες και μέταλλα που βοηθούν το σώμα κατά τη διάρκεια της περιόδου.
✔ Η ήπια άσκηση ή οι διάτασεις μπορεί να μειώσουν τους σπασμούς και συνεπώς να βελτιώθει η διάθεση σας.
✔ Ζεστά μπάνια, τεχνικές χαλάρωσης και το αγαπημένο σας βιβλίο ή ταινία μπορεί να μείωσουν την ένταση σας.
✔ Η λήψη παυσίπονων πρέπει να γίνεται ύπο την καθοδήγηση του γυναικολόγο σας! Τα χάπια πολλές φορές μπορεί να βοηθήσουν στην ανακούφιση από τους σπασμούς, αλλά είναι σημαντικό να είναι ενήμερος ο ιατρό σας.
✔ Συμβουλευτείτε τον Γυναικολόγο σας εάν αντιμετωπίζετε ακανόνιστους κύκλους περιόδου, έντονη αιμορραγία ή οξύ πόνο.

*Συστήνεται να χρησιμοποιείται μια εφαρμογή παρακολούθησης του κύκλου σας. Η κατανόηση του κύκλου σας μπορεί να σας βοηθήσει να προβλέψετε τις περιόδους σας και να προγραμματιστείτε ανάλογα.
