😩 Feeling hunched or tilted forward? You're not alone!
Most of us sit far too much, causing our bodies to adapt in unhealthy ways. This results in muscle imbalances: tight or strong muscles versus weak or stretched ones. Let's break it down:
Lower Body & Pelvis
Quads and hip flexors become overly tight, while your back, glutes, and hamstrings weaken. The outcome? A forward-tilted pelvis straining your lower back (hello, lumbar lordosis!).
Fun fact: Right-handers often tilt right; lefties tilt left.
Upper Body & Shoulders
Chest (pecs/anterior delts), biceps, triceps, and lats tighten from hunching, pulling your arms inward. Upper and mid-back muscles (rhomboids, mid-traps) weaken, leading to shoulders rounding into thoracic kyphosis. Phone slump, anyone?
Watch out for that neck hump at C7!
It's a vicious cycle—but one that’s fixable! Stretch tight areas, strengthen weaker ones, and reclaim your posture. 💪
Quick win: What's ONE thing you're doing TODAY to stand taller?
