Wednesdays 11.00 a 60 minute yoga class with the added support of the chair .

Yoga Block of 4 consecutive classes £30
Attending 2 classes per week or a zoom

Suitable for people who find it difficult to work from the floor , issues with mobility or pre and post op ( joint issues)

Arthritis
People with various types of arthritis who practice yoga regularly can reduce joint pain, improve joint flexibility and function, and lower stress and tension!
But how does it actually work?

The pain and stiffness of osteoarthritis (OA) & Remumatoid Arthritis (RA) can make you feel like the last thing you want to do is move around. And yet movement is critical to keeping the joints flexible and reducing your pain.

Physical activity is an essential part of the effective treatment of OA and RA.
The movements or postures in yoga help keep the muscles around the joints strong and flexible. Our larger joints are surrounded by Synovial Fluid and as we age the Synovial Fluid begins to dry up. The movements/postures in yoga help keep the muscles & joints lubricated. You will also learn proper alignment of the skeleton, which helps alleviate joint pain caused by misalignment. Keep in mind that any movement can be modified to minimize pressure or pain to already achy areas of the body. Yoga meets you where you are and should never cause pain.
Relaxation and meditation-Using relaxation techniques or meditating on a regular basis helps to reduce stress. This is important because it can create awareness and counteract the natural tendency to tighten muscles and become rigid when feeling pain or stress.

This phrase I was told sums it up~’Motion is your body’s natural lotion’
So just as you apply moisturiser to your face & external body, do Yoga for your internal body.

So get yourself moving to combat or relieve Arthritic pain.

Wednesday 9.00 Hatha yoga standing and active flow .
Wednesday 11.00 Chair yoga seated yoga great for people with injuries or balance and mobility issues .
