Myxomatous mitral valve disease is the most common acquired heart disease in our canine friends that affects middle age to older dogs.
The heart function is affected by disorders of the mitral valve due to bad coaptation, thickening or prolapse of the leaflets which allows part of the blood returning back to the left atrium than entering the general circulation causing left atrial enlargementand congestive heart failure.
Below is an example of patient with mitral valve disease and enlargement of the left atrium

Update: Found thanks for your help.
Bρέθηκαν ευχαριστούμε για τη βοήθεια Κουλλης και Brangko.
Χαθηκαν χθές στη περιοχή της Σωτήρας.
Ο Μπράνγκο έχει microchip αλλά ο Κούλλης δεν έχει.
Ο Κούλλης δέχθηκε επίθεση απο άλλο σκύλο πριν ένα μηνα περίπου και έσπασε το μπροστινό του πόδι το οποίο χειρουργήθηκε και τοποθετήθηκαν 2 πλάκες. παρακολουθείται στενά απο τους κτηνιάτρους της κλινικής μας επιδή η πληγή του ήταν πολύ μολυσμένη.

Beangko and Koullis were lost in Sotira are.
Brango is chipped but Koullos not.
Koullis was recently attacked by another dog (about a month ago) and he had a broken foreleg that was severely infected. He is under monitoring from our vets. If u see them please contact us at 23828882

Η μητέρα του απεβίωσε λόγω δυστοκίας.
Οι ιδιοκτήτες είναι πρόθυμοι να πάρουν πίσω το γατάκι αφου μεγαλώσει.
