In PuFo, we have been striving to make the environment we live in better and a very important part of this initiative is helping hospitals in Brno.🏥🫶

In Fakultní nemocnice Brno, we decided to help renovate an ORL room in the Children's hospital for the tiny patients🤒and their parents, so that the children waking up after the surgeries can have their closest person by their side, helping them heal securely and in a nice environment 👩‍👧🛌

We hope that the room will serve the hospital for many years to come!🙏💜

💜 Velké poděkování Purple Foundation, nadační fond! 🙏✨

Díky daru nadačního fondu jsme v letošním roce mohli pořídit nové skříně na interní oddělení B a C 🏥. Tyto skříně slouží jak našim pacientům k uložení osobních věcí, tak sestrám na pomůcky pro ošetřování pacientů.

V minulých letech jsme díky Purple Foundation mohli například zakoupit porodní vanu a vybavit nadstandardní pokoj na gynekologicko-porodnickém oddělení 👶💖.

Our supported organisation proFem o.p.s. needs help. Why?😯

Because they are trying to offer help to victims of domestic and sexual abuse on a much larger scale now by opening a 3-bedroom flat that women with children can use as a shelter in times of crisis!🏡🫶

We are so thankful for all the great encounters we experience in Purple Foundation - not only with organizations, but with their individual members, too, who oftentimes become our PuFo friends.💜💪

One of them is definitely Mr Michal Odstrčil (pictured here celebrating his birthday at our first MeetUp!🎂) who spent over a decade directing the amazing ParaCENTRUM Fenix. We were surprised to learn he decided to pass over the baton to Mr Petr Houšť last year - what inspired this change? Where did his steps take him next? Is he staying in the non-profit sector?🤔

We love supporting Hospic sv. Alžběty in Brno. Why? Because we know that high quality palliative care is what every person deserves and who knows - in the future, us or our loved ones might need dignified help in the last days, weeks or months, too. It's good to know that in Brno, there is a place with professionals who are great at it! 💜

Říkáte si, co je to za krabice? To jsou velice užitečné krabice!

Díky daru Purple Foundation, nadační fond jsme mohli pořídit dva bateriové koncentrátory. Ty umožňují nemocným na kyslíku transport a pobyt mimo domov až na 5 hodin. A pro nemocné, kteří jsou trvale závislí na kyslíku, jsou důležitou zálohou při výpadku proudu a podobně.

V lůžkovém hospici je využijeme pro pacienty na výjezdy v pojízdných křeslech či na lůžku do prostor zahrady a parku areálu kláštera, kde hospic sídlí.

The pe(e)rfect way to help!

One of our Purple Foundation members, Krištof Heger, makes no secret of the fact that he has been living with epilepsy since 2009. Through his work in the Purple Foundation, he came to cooperate with Společnost E - a non-proft organization helping people with epilepsy.😍💜

In Purple Foundation, we adore our supported organizations and we:

➡️ want to see them in person at least a couple of times a year🤝
➡️ want to know what problems they face and what they need to solve them🤔
➡️ want to understand their day-to-day operations and what they fill their days with✍
➡️ love celebrating them and with them!🥂

As there is only a limited number of hours in the day and members in Purple Foundation, out of necessity (and a strike of genius😁), we came up with the concept of the MeetUp - inviting all our partnered organizations into one place once a year and talk about all the above mentioned.😍As you can see, it has worked amazingly and this years 4th MeetUp event was great, thanks to everyone included.🙏🍰

See you in a year and until then, we can promise a lot of heart-warming messages, impromptu meetings and helping you do what you are great at!🥹💜

💜 About our first Volunteer Day in Purple🗒️✅

This year, Purple Foundation faced a big challenge - to switch from occasional volunteering of a handful of colleagues to one big volunteering days where our Purple Team employees could pick from several volunteering options and spend a whole day helping where needed. In the end, the numbers proved that it was a successful endeavor - 50 of us took our time and volunteered in 4 different locations over the course of 2 days.😍💪

I am so proud of my colleagues who decided to team up and do a good deed - some of them even took the opportunity and turned it into a teambuilding activity!🤝You can read about our first day in our earlier post here: https://shorturl.at/JO4GG 👀

What did we do on day two, you ask?🤔

➡️ In Zoo Brno Purple team did a lot of gardening, weeding and helped build fences. The last activity was especially rewarding, as the fences were close to the polar fox enclosure and our colleague caught a glimpse of a new polar fox baby! There was also a little reward where everyone got to ride the ZOO train around the premises - a dream come true for most of our childhoods🚂🦊🌳

➡️ In Hospic sv. Alžběty, we also did a lot of gardening, removing trees, planting seedlings, etc. A big thank you goes to the employees of the hospice, who welcomed us with not one, but several homemade cakes and a whole feast of refreshments🍃🍰

➡️ And in FOD Klokánek BRNO, a centre for abused, neglected, endangered or otherwise socially disadvantaged children, my colleagues painted and lacquered furniture and sorted out clothes and toys for the little ones🦘👟🧸

Organizing all the groups at the same time was, of course, a daunting tasks, but my PuFo co-members Krištof Heger and Jakub Nytra took up the role of teamleaders, for which I am so grateful! We even welcomed one external teamleader - Martina Burešová from ParaCENTRUM Fenix who joined us and helped coordinate the Klokánek group. Thank you so much!🙏

And as it was our first year and we wanted to do really well, our Volunteer Days were co-organized by Via Clarita (https://viaclarita.cz/), who offered an amazing service sourcing out places to volunteer, organizing the individual steps, communicating with the receiving organizations, and more. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to organize a volunteering event🙇‍♀️

All in all, I think I can say the Volunteer Days were a big success and we will definitely be doing it again in 2026 - we already cannot wait!😉💜

Today, we are celebrating the Labour Day on May 1 in the Czech Republic, but earlier in the week, our Purple Team celebrated it with hard work of gardening, sorting, carrying, and many more muscle-strengthening charity activities!🌳👗📦⚒️💪

This year, we decided to organize our very first Purple Volunteer Day and our colleagues didn't hesitate for a second to join us, get their hands dirty and help where it was necessary - Zoo Brno, Hospic sv. Alžběty and ADRA CZ.👏 What would Purple Foundation do without our Purple Team?😍💜Thank you all so much and let's hope our second Volunteer Day on May 19 will be just as amazing!🥹
