We are down in Nottingham today, delivering Sharps Safety training at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Our Global Product Manager, Jenna Davies, and Key Account Manager, Karen Andrews, are training over 80 nurses on how to practice good sharps safety, and prevent needlestick injuries with our recycled Sharpsafe® containers.

We're also so proud to be invited to deliver our training and continue our mantra: Safer today for a sustainable tomorrow.

This Friday, we will be attending the NHS Wales Sustainability Awards, were we have been shortlisted for Sustainable Product of the Year!

Our 5 & 7L Sharpsafe® Containers mark a huge milestone for us and the industry, as these containers are the first in our range to feature 100% recycled plastic bases and a 16% reduction in virgin plastic in the lids. They also introduce the innovative Dual Protect Pro™, designed to enhance safety and prevent needlestick injuries.

We are incredibly proud of this recognition and want to extend a huge thank you to all our teams for their dedication and hard work.

60 Years of Sustainable Medical Pulp Manufacture!

When we began our medical pulp production back in 1964, we took, what would transpire to be, a huge step in sustainable production. Utilising overissued newspaper, our medical pulp was (and still is!) made from 100% recycled cellulose-based fibres, making it fully biodegradable and sustainable.

The pulp process has always remained at our facility in Bolton, where production has expanded to now employ over 100 people, including an on-site testing facility and a maintenance tool room, where our pulp moulds are made in-house.

The full range of medical pulp includes male and female urinals, disposable washbowls, bedpans, kidney bowls, and more, all made from 100% recycled material!
