Bioveta has been operating on the Vietnamese market for many years – it supplies vaccines for dogs, cats and pigs, and has therefore gained the trust of local veterinarians. As the standard of living in Vietnam rises, the need to provide quality care for companion animals is becoming more important. Veterinary practice is developing rapidly and the growth of expertise is a way for local doctors to become true partners of breeders who turn to them with problems that were not common in the past.

That is why, we have prepared a two-year online educational cycle in cooperation with our Vietnamese importer and business partner, which was ceremonially completed in August with a practical workshop on site.

Bioveta is deeply aware that a trusting partnership is the basis of good care for dogs and cats – not only thanks to high-quality vaccines providing protection against infectious diseases, but also thanks to personal professional support and active participation. That is why we have decided to be a visible and active part of the veterinary community and develop educational initiatives wherever we operate. Where we do business, we live – as partners, colleagues and experts.

In Southeast Asia, skin problems are among the most common reasons for visits to veterinarians. The humid and hot climate is a great burden on the skin of animals, which is why the dermatology program has become very popular among Vietnamese veterinarians.

Prof. MVDr. Miroslav Svoboda, CSc., an experienced veterinary dermatologist and teacher, was a lecturer and professional guarantor of the program. After educating several generations of Czech veterinarians, it is an honour for us that in his busy schedule and at the end of his professional career, he still finds the strength and desire to participate in the education of colleagues – not only in Europe, but also in Southeast Asia and Latin America.

After a series of online lessons, professor Svoboda travelled to Vietnam, where he completed a lecture in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and also led a practical workshop. He guided the participants not only through the theoretical foundations, but also focused on the so-called Day one skills – correct sampling, clinical examination of dermatological patients and practical diagnostics. The choice of treatment was also an important topic: because only the right diagnosis and well-chosen treatment are what return the animal to health – and make the owner happy.

Professor Svoboda's guide to Vietnam was MVDr. Robert Kuhn, Bioveta's regional director for Southeast Asia. This initiative is a concrete example of how a Czech company can share its know-how abroad and at the same time strengthen the reputation of the Czech Republic as a country that can export not only products, but also expertise and support.

Investing in education is investing in the future. And not only in Vietnam. For us, it is a commitment to build an environment where quality and professional care for animals is a matter of course together with veterinarians around the world.

In the last week of July, we together with our business partner, the Venezuelan company Seprogan, officially launched new lines of vaccines for dogs and cats in Venezuela.

The launch of sales of our products was supported by a series of professional seminars that took place in four major Venezuelan cities – Barquisimeto, Valencia, Maracay and Caracas. Each of these seminars was attended by approximately one hundred local veterinarians, which confirms the strong interest of the professional public in high-quality European products and modern approaches to the prevention of infectious diseases.

The individual events were also attended by MVDr. Alberto Velasquez, Bioveta’s regional director for Latin America, who joined all seminars via live video connection. The professional part, focused on the principles of immunological protection of animals, was always led by a local expert, an opinion leader in the field of veterinary immunology and vaccinology.

We are pleased to announce that Bioveta's vaccines for dogs and cats have also been successfully launched in the past in Mexico, Colombia and Brazil, the two largest countries in South America. The products have quickly gained the trust of veterinarians and breeders due to the quality, safety and reliable protection they provide.

The prospect for 2026 is to expand our operations to medium-sized countries such as Chile and Bolivia. Bioveta is thus becoming an established company on the South American continent.

At the beginning of July, we hosted a group of veterinarians from Carval, our long-standing distributor of dog and cat vaccines in Latin America. Our common mission is to protect dogs from infectious diseases. Participants included representatives from the most important markets in Latin America, namely Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic.

The program began at the company's headquarters in Ivanovice na Hané, which has been a centre for the production of veterinary immunologicals for more than a century. Although the location remains the same, the production technology is constantly evolving. The modern operation includes, for example, bioreactors, robotic devices with precise programming and a team of top experts. Thanks to the concentration of development and production in one place, Bioveta is able to supply competitive products worldwide. During their visit, the guests appreciated the technological level of our facility and confirmed that it is the most modern production technology in Central Europe.

The multi-day professional program also included a full-day workshop with MVDr. Bc. Karel Paukner, Ph.D., focused on modern approaches to dog vaccination, including the creation of individual vaccination plans based on age, the environment in which the dog lives, and local epidemiological conditions. Effective communication between the veterinary team and the client and the role of distributors as key partners in ensuring top-notch veterinary care were also discussed.

The next day was devoted to the topics of pharmacovigilance, quality control, marketing communication, and the influence of emotions in making decisions about choosing veterinary products. The guarantor of this block was MVDr. Jiří Urbánek, MBA.

As part of the accompanying program, the guests visited the University of Veterinary Sciences in Brno (VETUNI), where they got acquainted with the facilities of the clinic for diseases of dogs and cats, as well as one of our distribution partners for the Czech market.

The cultural part included a tour of the historic city of Kroměříž listed by UNESCO and a tasting of traditional Czech cuisine and local beer. The first and last day belonged to Prague, which served as a transportation hub thanks to the Václav Havel Airport.

The entire program was led by MVDr. Alberto Velasquez, Regional Director for Latin America. Although intercontinental travel can be physically demanding, it is the willingness to jointly build ways to provide first-class care to animals around the world that is definitely worth it.

In July, our product managers went to Latvia to visit colleagues from veterinary practice together with partners from Bertas Nams. We talked about experience, challenges and how to improve animal care together.

Our team of product managers consists of veterinarians with clinical experience. In addition to taking care of the entrusted product portfolio, their tasks also include providing technical and professional support. For example, they act as lecturers during their visits – they help teams in practice to streamline daily care and share best practices. However, their paths are not one-sided. They actively listen to the needs and expectations of local veterinarians and keepers. It is this mutual exchange of experience that inspires us to innovate and find new solutions in animal care.

Bertas Nams is our long-term and reliable partner in Latvia. Its representatives accompanied our experts on their travels. While MVDr. Ronen Hoikhman, Ph.D. visited mainly cattle and horse farms, MVDr. Bc. Karel Paukner, Ph.D. devoted himself to practices focused on the care of dogs and cats. Together with the Bertas Nams team, they completed an intensive program that included visits to veterinary clinics, small surgeries and farms across Latvia.

Supporting the development of veterinary expertise at home and abroad is a long-term priority for Bioveta, a.s. We would like to thank the whole team of Bertas Nams for the great organization and all the veterinarians in Latvia for their warm welcome.

For colleagues from Bulgaria a professional program was provided, including a visit to Bioveta's production facilities and a series of expert lectures. Detailed explanations in the production area were provided by Jiří Bubeník and Ing. Jan Provazník. The main lecturers were MVDr. K. Paukner, Ph.D. and MVDr. R. Hoikhman, Ph.D. In addition to the professional program, a cultural program including a tour of Brno and Prague was arranged for our important clients.

In cooperation with Bioveta Romania and our Romanian business partners, we organized a training to support the daily work of people who help deliver veterinary products to where they are needed – to veterinarians and their patients throughout Romania.

Representatives of our distributor and the sales team of the Bioveta Romania branch met at the training. The entire programme was led professionally by members of our technical and product team:

MVDr. Bc. Karel Paukner, Ph.D. spoke about the principles of a pro-client approach in veterinary practice, the friendly environment of clinics for cats and the importance of prevention against parasites and infectious diseases.

MVDr. Ronen Hoikhman, Ph.D. focused on the cattle mammary gland health and the ways to ensure quality milk, dairy cow health and infection prevention.

The smooth running of the event, the inspiring discussion and the great atmosphere were taken care of by our Regional Directress Mgr. Jana Šnytová.

Educating and supporting those who oversee the logistics and distribution of veterinary medicines is key for us – because they are the link between us and those who take care of animal health every day.
