Today we celebrate the birth of Virginia Satir (June 26, 1916–1988), a visionary in the field of family therapy and a pioneer of transformational change.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she taught, inspired, and healed. Through compassion, curiosity, and a deep belief in the human spirit, Satir helped us all see that "the problem is never the problem — how we cope is."
