🌍 International cooperation shaping the future of veteran care in Ukraine

The for Integrated Veteran Rehabilitation & Psychosocial Care in Kyiv made one thing clear:

Ukraine does not need isolated solutions. It needs a coordinated, international response.

We saw strong examples from Ukrainian hospitals and veteran organisations already delivering holistic care that connects 🏥 physical rehabilitation, 🧠mental health, and 🫴 long term support. And we heard directly from veterans, whose experience should guide how the system is improved.

At Czech Health Technology Institute, our ambition goes further.
Our goal is to bring more international partners together and co-create comprehensive, scalable solutions tailored to Ukraine’s real needs.

That is why we introduced the European-Ukrainian Initiative for Integrated Veteran Rehabilitation & Psychosocial Care 🤝 as a platform for long term cooperation, implementation, and real impact. This is where discussion turns into action by building a comprehensive system based on what already works in practice.

Our partnership with Ukraine continues to grow, bringing together Czech innovation, expertise and commitment to rebuilding and modernizing healthcare systems! 🌐

Last week in Lviv, the Czech-Ukrainian Healthcare Forum provided another opportunity to strengthen collaboration in rehabilitation, primary care, emergency medicine and comprehensive healthcare solutions, with a strong focus on veterans’ care and the recovery of Ukraine’s healthcare infrastructure.

We are proud to support meaningful connections between Czech companies and Ukrainian healthcare institutions, creating space for long-term and sustainable cooperation. This initiative has been made possible thanks to the hashtag project from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and Česká rozvojová agentura - CzechAid.

A heartfelt thank you to all Ukrainian partners, the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Lviv, and Czech companies that took part in the forum for their trust, partnership, and active contribution.

🌍 Every year, 1.3 million lives are lost due to antibiotic resistance

This alarming global issue is exacerbated by inadequate control over antibiotic prescriptions. In Ukraine, the challenge is even more critical due to the ongoing war. Ukrainian doctors are increasingly facing resistant bacterial strains brought back from the battlefield.

👉 At , we are committed to addressing this pressing issue by raising awareness and supporting Ukrainian healthcare professionals. Through workshops and lectures tailored for general practitioners and specialists, we strive to equip them with the knowledge and tools to combat antibiotic resistance effectively.

Together with our partners, Перше медичне об'єднання Львова, UNBROKEN center and the Академія Сімейної Медицини України/ Academy of Family Medicine of Ukraine we are taking further steps to advance antibiotic stewardship. One of our current initiatives includes preparing a surveillance study to map the levels of bacterial resistance to antibiotics in urinary tract infections.

A heartfelt thank you to Česká rozvojová agentura - CzechAid for supporting these efforts. Together, we can contribute to improving health outcomes in Ukraine and beyond.

A big congratulations to the six students from Ukraine’s who have successfully completed an intensive Biomedical Engineering course in the Czech Republic! 🎓💼

These students, from the National Technical University of Ukraine 'Kyiv Polytechnic Institute' (NTU), participated in a tailored program developed in close collaboration with the Czech Technical University Fakulta biomedicínského inženýrství (FBMI) - ČVUT and companies BTL Medical International, , and .

The course gave them a unique opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in developing and maintaining cutting-edge healthcare technologies. We’re confident that this new generation of biomedical engineers will play a crucial role in strengthening Ukraine’s healthcare system and driving sustainable innovation. 🌍⚙️

We’re proud that was able to facilitate this exceptional opportunity. A huge thank you to our partners and to the Ministry of Industry and Trade CZ Ministerstvo průmyslu a obchodu for their support in making this pilot program possible.
