How does a Reiki session work?
What can a client expect when they lie on the treatment table?
When a client comes for a Reiki session, they lie comfortably on the treatment table, fully dressed, as Reiki does not involve massage. With eyes closed, the client begins to relax deeply while I apply energy to specific points on their body, known as chakras. The sensation during the session can vary, but many people report feeling warmth or a gentle tingling. The goal is for me to channel energy in a way that restores the body’s energy flow and releases blockages that may be affecting the client’s well-being. The session usually lasts around 50 minutes, though I can offer longer sessions if needed.

I’m Jo Jungwirth (formerly Jordane Marques), an energy therapist, Reiki Master, and a Reiki instructor since 2010. Today, I’d like to share why I created this new profile.

"Reiki works on all levels of the human body, starting from the spiritual body and working its way down to the physical. Diseases often begin in the higher, more subtle bodies—spiritual and mental—and eventually manifest in the emotional and physical bodies. It's not enough to treat only the physical symptoms with medication while leaving the spiritual body unhealed, as the illness will return.

Reiki, however, works in reverse: it heals from the top down—beginning with the spiritual body, moving through the mental body, then the emotional body, and finally addressing the physical body.
