It’s during the challenging times — when the body feels unwell or in pain, when the emotional body is tender or broken down, or when the mind loops endlessly — that my Yoga practice holds its deepest meaning.
Exactly in those moments, I find myself asking: Why do I practice? Why do I unroll my mat and step onto it again?
That’s when I become tender, vulnerable, honest. Over and over, through more than a decade, it’s become clear to me: my Yoga practice is an anchor for the Spirit.
My intention is to settle the mind, to return to my inner ground, to clear space — to release what no longer serves and make room again.
Room for what? For Qi, Prana, Life Force.
And when that life force begins to move freely once more, my attention softens and clears. I can go deeper, beyond the labels of the ego.
That, to me, feels like true health — clear, moving energy.
Where I am simply a vessel, and the pain moves, the worries move, the tension moves.
So yes, as I like to say:
I’m a mover, a body explorer, a changing landscape with different weathers. 🌿💓🫁🌿 Iara Lamat
