Who are we? Pavlina: a yoga teacher combining her knowledge and experience from studying yoga in India with her management career and life in European metropolises. Personal motto: live - love - laugh

Aylin: a yoga teacher inspired by her diverse professional and international life. Personal motto: “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”. Yoga space in Prague 4 Branik (tram stop Pristaviste). Our Branik yoga space is located on the ground floor of a family house. The space is decorated and dedicated to meditation and yoga lessons. Already entering this space beings you into the feeling of calmness and peace. There are many meditation cushions ready for you. Please bring only your yoga mat. There is also a little kitchenette, so we can enjoy a cup of tea during our seminars. Parking is normally not a problem in this area, no parking card is needed.

2. Yoga hall in Prague 7 Holesovice (tram stop Kamenicka)
Our Holesovice yoga hall in Letna offers the environment of complete switch off although it is located nearby the city centre. The yoga hall is a part of a building in an inner house and therefore provides with a calm space for yoga and meditation practice. In this yoga hall, we have plenty of yoga mats and little cushions. The space is decorated in a simplistic way. Piano is the only piece of furniture in the yoga hall. Parking in this area is a bit more tricky as you need the parking card for Prague 7. The public transport connection is excellent. It is a walking distance from underground stop Vltavska or from trams stops Strossmayerovo namesti or Kamenicka.

HOW DID I GET RID OFF MY BACK ISSUES?

For many years, I was facing difficulties with my back. Most of my life I did office jobs, i.e. was sitting almost the whole day. I did various activities such as running, dancing, hiking, exercising in a gym in order to balance my sitting life-style. Though my issues with back were constantly appearing. A few times I experienced a COMPLETE BLOCKAGE, when I simply could not straighten my back and move properly. I ended up having a standing table at work as I could not manage to sit for several hours any more and slowly accepted that fact that back issues are going to be part of my life.

During a yoga retreat in Thailand, I met a yoga therapist, who advised me to change MY BREATHING STYLE as that was the root cause of my back issues. At that point I didn’t believe in any connection between my breathing and my spine troubles. Though I was doing what he said. Little by little I started to feel less tension in my back. But a few months later another back blockage came. At that time, I was an active ashtanga practitioner but as everything back then I did also yoga pretty harshly, i.e. as much physical and exhausting practice as possible.

Later during my stay in India, I ended up taking YOGA THERAPY teacher training. Initially I was bored by LITTLE MOVEMENTS AND SIMPLE PRACTICES we did. But soon I discovered their beauty and most importantly the fact that they really work. I moved my attention from hard-core practices to simple movements. And my old friend back pain silently disappeared.
Thanks to this lesson I understood the power of simplicity, respect and love. SIMPLE TECHNIQUES, RESPECTING OWN BODY AND LOVING SELF is therefore a style that I share with my clients.
