ABSL Czech Republic ABSL is the leading organization representing the business services sector in the Czech Republic.

Business Services sector is one of the largest employers in the country and is growing every year as new companies come to appreciate the benefits of setting up their operations in this country. The Czech Republic is the second largest country for Business Services in CEE - and there is strong competition from other countries in this space. ABSL Members include companies which conduct business in the area of Shared Services Centre (SSC), Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO), Research and Development (R&D) and companies contributing to the sector's growth. The Association is aligned with the success of ABSL in Poland and Romania, which have been at the vanguard of the growth in Business Services over the last 5 years and is one of the most significant member associations in the region.

Still thinking about yesterday’s "Women in Leadership" breakfast at Medtronic. 🌟

A big thank you to our wonderful hosts – Zaneta Hlinkova, Veronika Ben Mansoura and Ulpukka Sillanmäki – for creating such an inspiring space for conversation and connection.

We explored Vision 2030 through a very human lens. In a world increasingly shaped by AI, it’s clear that Emotional Intelligence is what truly sets leaders apart. 🧠❤️

The discussion touched on how women leaders can lean into empathy and intuition, strengthen their teams, and bring more humanity into everyday leadership.

Because in the end, leadership is not just about technology or strategy. It is about people.

What if business growth no longer meant hiring more people?🙋‍♀️🧠

Across the Czech business services sector, the focus is shifting from how many to how much value.

80% of GBS centers now aim to boost productivity while keeping team sizes stable. The same share is investing in technology, especially AI, now the most widely used technology in the industry.

And the goal is clear. Not replacing people. Empowering them.

As our Managing Director Jonathan Appleton puts it, AI helps people focus on more complex, creative, and strategic work.

Real examples are already here. Siemens' Bionic Agent platform, awarded the , has handled 1.4 million customer requests and saved over 70,000 hours of human work. Intelligent digital assistants are moving beyond simple automation and starting to manage processes, analyze data, and prepare responses.

We are so proud of the women leaders in our sector and want to wish you a happy ’s . 🌸

A big thank you to three amazing leaders, Žaneta Hlinková, Veronika Ben Mansoura and Ulpukka Sillanmaeki, for organizing the ABSL Women Vision Club on March 18 at Medtronic, Prague. The interest has been incredible. The event was fully booked already 2 weeks in advance, which shows how important this conversation is for our community.

Based on our fresh (e-version here: https://hubs.ly/Q045Ktgk0), we know that half of the Czech business services workforce are women. Today, women also represent 45% of middle management and 35% of senior leadership roles. Progress is clearly being made. 📊

We are also proud to have powerful women on our ABSL Board of Directors (Petra Filipi Fry, Žaneta Hlinková and Štěpánka Ryšavá). At our events, we naturally give women space to be heard. We love seeing women on stage sharing their expertise, and we also appreciate how strongly the men in our community support them. Leadership works best when it grows together.

Most of the ABSL team are women, and half of them are also mothers (Martina Švajnerová, Jarmila Drastíková, Adela Pilátová, Adéla Fejfarová, Ivana Sůvová, Darie Zmátlíková, Marta Lipovská). It works great and reflects the supportive spirit of our community.

We will continue this mission with great pride in the amazing capabilities and opportunities this sector offers. Thank you to all the women who help shape it every day. 💙

We marked the launch with insightful perspectives from ABSL Managing Director, event host Igor Savič (Commerzbank Czechia), and panelists from Envista Holdings Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, and Grafton Recruitment:

▪️The sector keeps growing. Around 5% annual growth and over 200,000 employees confirm its strong and stable contribution to the Czech economy.
▪️Talent mobility is becoming critical. Simplifying immigration and legalization processes will be key to sustaining growth in the sector.
▪️Human expertise remains the edge. Relationship-based communication and complex problem solving still require people.
▪️The value of work is shifting upward. Junior transactional roles are fading, while tech-skilled talent commands up to one-third higher salaries.
▪️Czechia wins on value, not cost. Talent, safety, quality of life, and proximity to business make it a strong location for global services.

✨ KPMG Czech Republic has joined the ABSL Czech community and immediately opened the topics resonating most right now. The aim of the AI Act, what companies must already comply with, and what to prepare for next.

During our first webinar of the year at the end of January, Eva Kubalkova and Martin Capek shared expert insights and asked participants about their readiness for the new requirements. Most attendees already have a person appointed to oversee AI implementation and its responsible use. A strong signal of growing maturity in internal governance and future compliance readiness 👍

They also covered the latest Omnibus developments, including a possible postponement of certain AI Act obligations. While the debate continues, their recommendation is clear:
👉 Do not rely on delays
👉 Start preparing for high-risk systems, effective August 2026
