🫀 How do we teach cardiac surgery at the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University?

💡 At our Faculty, a unique hands-on workshop on mitral valve reconstruction took place in collaboration with the company's Surgeon.

👉 Young cardiac surgeons practiced procedures on pig hearts and special models—techniques they normally wouldn’t encounter during standard training. This hands-on approach in postgraduate education helps doctors gain skills and, most importantly, confidence for future operations.

🤩 We’re proud to educate a new generation of top-level specialists and to push the boundaries of cardiac surgery care.

🦴 This week (from Wednesday to Friday), it is possible to prepare for the practical part of the anatomy exam directly at Anatomický ústav 1. LF UK - oficiální profil!

EDIT: Příští dva týdny bude možnost studia na praktickou část každý den po skončení zkoušení do 15 h.

For the next two weeks, it will be possible to study for the practical part every day after the exams until 3 p.m.

V příštím týdnu, od středy do pátku (27.–29. 8.), mezi 9. a 15. hodinou bude opět možná příprava na praktickou část zkoušky z anatomie. V dalších, již zkouškových týdnech, pak vždy po skončení zkoušek, a to opět do 15 hodin.

Next week, you’ll have the opportunity to prepare for the practical part of the anatomy exam – from Wednesday to Friday (August 27–29), always between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. In the following exam weeks, preparation time will be available after the exams finish, again until 3 p.m.
