Can you exercise while fasting?
Many assume fasting means rest. Our data say otherwise.
In the GENESIS study conducted at Buchinger, patients remained physically active during 12 days of medically supervised fasting: walking daily, doing light fitness training, and mobility work.
The result?
Muscle function was preserved. Physical fitness even improved.
Measured, not assumed.
Exercise during fasting isn’t a contradiction. It’s part of the therapeutic strategy.
