Official page for the Baumholder Army Health Clinic in Baumholder, Germany. Reactivated during the Korean War 1950-51 and from 1952-58 served from Ft.

The unit now known as Baumholder Army Health Clinic was activated in December 1942 as the 30th Field Hospital which was deactivated after WWI. Bragg, NC and the Fitzsimons Army Hospital, Colorado. In August 1965, the unit moved to Germany providing service to Augsburg and Worms communities before moving to Baumholder in September 1981. On 16 February 1994, it was re-flagged as the 29th Medical Detachment. On 15 November 1994, the organization was designated as the United States Army Health Clinic Baumholder and on 12 June 2014 assumed mission command over Kaiserslautern Army Health Clinic.

📢 Clinic Update – Sick Call

Baumholder Army Health Clinic will not conduct sick call this week due to an unforeseen short-notice mission requirement affecting provider availability.

At this time, we continue to maintain same-day appointment availability. Patients who require evaluation are encouraged to call the appointment line to be scheduled for a same-day visit.

We appreciate your understanding and partnership as we support mission requirements while continuing to care for our community. Normal sick call operations are expected to resume the following week.

Due to the two-hour delay tomorrow morning (19 February 2026), patient care at the Baumholder Army Health Clinic will begin at 1000 tomorrow.

If you had an appointment scheduled between 0800 and 1000, our team will contact you to reschedule at the earliest available opportunity.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

📢 Clinic Hours Update – Friday, February 13

Baumholder Army Health Clinic will be open 0800–1200 only on Friday, February 13, for all services.

The afternoon will be reserved for mandatory staff training to ensure we continue delivering safe, high-quality care to our community.

As a reminder, the clinic will be closed Monday in observance of the federal holiday.

If you have an urgent medical concern after hours, please contact the Military Health System Nurse Advice Line at 0800-825-1600 or proceed to the nearest emergency department.

***COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT***

Update from the previous post.

On Monday, 09 February 2026, the clinic will open at 0830 for scheduled appointments only. Sick call and nurse walk-ins will not be available. Laboratory, X-Ray, Readiness, and Pharmacy will open at 1300.

Community Announcement

1. Baumholder patients,
We regret to inform you that due to supply shortages Baumholder Army Health Clinic will not be able to provide IUD insertion or removal at this time. We are happy to offer a variety of other contraceptive choices in the meantime, through our walk-in clinic and with provider appointments, until we can resume IUD care.

Also, as an alternative, LRMC OB/GYN clinic is offering IUD services through their walk-in clinic every Wednesday from 0800-1100. TRICARE beneficiaries over the age of 15 can utilize this option even if they are and empaneled elsewhere.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

2. Baumholder patients,
Due to unforeseen schedule changes, we will not be open for walk-in contraceptive clinic this Wednesday 2/4/26. Services will resume 2/18/26.

Please be advised that our on-site pharmacist is currently unavailable. However, we are still able to administer prescriptions through our tele-verification process.

Due to this additional step, prescription processing may take slightly longer than our normal expected timeline.

We appreciate your understanding as we continue to provide safe and effective care.

The Baumholder Army Health Clinic will be have some changes of Hours of Operations due to holidays.

Starting next week, December 22 & 23, 2025 will be open from 0800 - 1200.
December 24 & 26, we will be closed due to the Federal Executive Order.
