Hello, plantlovers! We are an agricultural cooperative from the east of Serbia that grows and distills lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) and other powerful herbs.

Cooperative Meli is located in the village of Grezna, and it’s plantations are spread all over eastern Serbia. We are closely specialized in sustainable cultivation and processing of medicinal and aromatic herbs local to the region. Primary agricultural production starts from seeds through seedlings, picking, planting in the open field, cultivation, care, mowing. The second phase - the processing of medicinal herbs - involves extractions but also drying of the above-ground part of the plant or roots to obtain teas.
The people behind Meli are gathered around the idea of growing and processing medicinal herbs, but above all for the sake of preserving our heritage.

Die Genossenschaft Meli hat ihren Sitz im Dorf Grezna, und ihre Plantagen sind über ganz Ostserbien verteilt. Wir haben uns auf den nachhaltigen Anbau und die Verarbeitung von Heil- und Gewürzkräutern spezialisiert, die in der Region heimisch sind. Die primäre landwirtschaftliche Produktion beginnt beim Saatgut, über die Setzlinge, das Pflücken, das Einpflanzen ins Freiland, den Anbau, die Pflege und das Mähen. Die zweite Phase - die Verarbeitung von Heilkräutern - umfasst die Extraktion, aber auch die Trocknung des oberirdischen Teils der Pflanze oder der Wurzeln zur Herstellung von Tees.
Die Menschen, die hinter Meli stehen, haben sich um die Idee des Anbaus und der Verarbeitung von Heilkräutern versammelt, aber vor allem, um unser Erbe zu bewahren.
