Grown up as a gothic girl hanging out at illegal rave parties, founder of Witches Are Back collective but not only, in over 2 decades activity her projects nurtured the underground scene with never ending effort, from Rome to Europe.

Meet Suit Kei at New Moon Fest on Friday Sept. 15th at Mensch Meier.

Suit Kei brings across Europe an eclectic music style rich in influences, built up on a solid techno frame that plays with electro and breakbeat, a perversion for the raw 80's sounds, a taste for psychedelic and mind-travelling grooves, and a manic obsession to harmonic and rhythmic fusions.

Imprinted by the independent gothic and the European illegal techno party scenes of the 90's, DJ since 2001, she produced, organized and played in lots of events that left a mark on the underground scene, playing in many and diverse locations, from big squats to historic clubs. She performed in many cities, clubs and festivals, with relevant names of the international electronic music scene, in Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Spain, France, Holland.

In 2013 frequent gigs in Berlin took her to Germany, where she has found a fertile ground for her music, with new projects and gigs.

Recently she focuses her attention on the growth of Witches Are Back´s projects, also running a music label and a radio broadcast.

Maze DK will spread some industrial bliss in the hottest hours at New Moon Fest this Friday Sept. 15th at Mensch Meier

Maze DK (she/her) is a Polish DJ and producer who lives and creates music in Berlin. Her sets are dark, fast and hard with a relentless beat but more than anything based around the industrial sounds of broken machinery with an acid sprinkle on top. As an artist she is an active member of the community collaborating with feminist and q***r collectives including her residency at q***r party series Golosa or creating her own initiatives such as a new dark and industrial techno event series called HIGH

From techno to acid house passing through breakbeats and more with the eclectic and creative Kat Kat Tat

After revolutionizing Argentina's vibrant underground for nine years, K ΛT KΛT TΛT has been exploring her native Berlin since 2013. Spending half of her life writing about electronic music, organizing events and djing, it just seemed natural to come back to where it all started.

Being introduced to synthesiser music as a small child, she spent her earliest years in the laboratory with her dad, observing oscillators and inhaling soldering fumes. The outcome, some home-built speakers and an abstract synesthetic idea of music, influenced her so heavily she did not feel at home musically until she stumbled into her first illegal rave fifteen years down the line. Getting completely immersed immediately, she quickly rose up to becoming an electronic music journalist working for publications like Raveline, Meoko, WKD, and Mixmag. Her sets comprise vanguard tendencies; finding a raw and uncompromisingly experimental and explorative approach to playing vinyl only is paramount to her celebration of electronic music culture, intertwining future-positive, dark and rhythmically compelling house, electro, rave, ambient, breaks and techno with her firm, investigative, global roots. Playing in big clubs like Tresor or Kater but also tiny venues and underground dinges, she digs out hidden gems and has a fantastic groove which strives to unite the scrambled revellers on the floor in order to make them open up and feel love(d).

It's when the club is still dark while outside the sun arised that you can find Sarkha pushing hard beats.

Friday Sept 15th at Mensch Meier

Sarkha is an artist from Valencia (ES), based in Berlin with a soft spot for disturbing sounds, bleak atmospheres and ominous narratives. In the previous years to her step into the electronic music scene, she approached audio creation in the media post production industry, leaving dramaturgy stains on her productions and sets.

She emerged in 2019 with one off appearances so far at Berlin clubs like Su***de Club, Mensch Meier, Birgit&Bier, Burg Schnabel and several events organised by the international network female:pressure. As producer, she released on labels such as Blockchain Records, Not Dolls, The Techno’s Children or Pollen. Sounds. Last but not least, she joined Dixrupt agency & collective as a resident.

The great class and style of Mäi Matsunami at New Moon Fest

Mai Matsunami is a DJ from Osaka, Japan.
Mai’s life centres around Techno Music since her 14th birthday. Her musical socialisations began with the classic Detroit and Chicago records of her older brother. From him, she got her first set of technics record players and a huge collection of vinyl. This was her base to develop a very distinct DJ style.

During the 2000s, she made herself a name in the underground scene of Osaka and played in all important clubs there. Beeing part of “asc sound.r”, she organised club events as well as open-air parties and invited international artists. In 2008, she started a monthly party with the theme “long live osaka techno and house”.
Being currently based in Berlin, she became part of Witches Are Back collective in 2016.

Techno, Acid House, Electro, EBM, Chicago-Detroit sounds and breakbeats can be heard in her set. It will rock your body ;)

Diana May will go towards underground sounds for New Moon Fest! On Friday Sept 15th at Mensch Meier.

She's a sassy DJ known for her fearless attitude and passion for acid sounds, with a sound that is powerful, unapologetic, paired with some lightness in between.

She is one of the resident DJ's at the Electric Monday Berlin at KitKat Club in Berlin and part of DCMB Records crew. Diana is djing, producing and working as a mentor in Berlin.

Freya Algiz will propose a special ambient and downtempo music selection for New Moon Fest this Friday Sept. 15 at Mensch Meier!

Paula Hakkaja, aka Freya Algiz is an electronic musician whose sound exploration is inspired by experimentation with ambient soundscapes, breakbeats, IDM and Techno. Born in Estonia, based in Berlin, her musical journey started with experimentation with modular synthesisers as a creative therapy to heal and connect to herself. Her mission is to explore sound as the connection of our inner worlds to our reality as we perceive it. Freya’s work embodies the recognition that the only limitation to ourselves is ourselves and that stepping out of the conformist expectations is the necessary empowerment that everyone deserves.

With a background in Human Rights, her focus is to research restructuring social and economic systems to enable the development of self-sustainable artist communities. Her interest in spirituality, philosophy, and physics of sound and its power for personal and societal transformation have been her drive for founding a co-operative record label Field Conspiracy

Anna Bolena spent a long time in Rome, where she was a very active part of the early rave scene of the 90’s, lives in Berlin since 2004.

Musician, producer, writer, video maker, and event organizer, has taken part in several music and video international festivals.

She has run the label Idroscalo Dischi and was resident and booker of Homopatik and Buttons Berlin.
Interested in innovations and challenges, she supports different projects as Witches Are Back and Roma Illegale

Born in Belgrade, Serbia, and raised up in north Italy, she takes her musical inspiration from the underground scene and free parties movement.
She's a really big fan of rusty sounds, and she describes her genre as "Elektro with k".
Plays only live sets with Ableton and controllers.
