The Asanaguru story

Who we are

We are a community of yoga teachers from the Eastern tradition — where yoga happens both on and off the mat.

The foundational yoga scriptures of yoga show there are many paths toward physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. Western yoga has so far focused on the physical path, leaving the other pathways less travelled.

Asanaguru uses technology to make those pathways, more accessible to students in the West.

It’s our mission to equip students in the West with the tools they need to apply yogic traditions, philosophies, and practices both on and off the mat.

What we do

We connect you with experienced yoga teachers from India, the birthplace of yoga.

We offer an immersive yoga experience from the comfort of your lounge room, or bedroom, or anywhere you feel comfortable, really.

Our teachers guide, nurture, and challenge (if you’re up for it) you. They focus on correct technique for your health and safety.

Why we do it....

Because the Eastern yoga tradition is rich in history, just waiting to be explored....

Because yoga teachers in India should benefit from the popularity of yoga in the West...

And finally, because we could all use a little more yoga in our lives....
