Learn how to stay calm, think clearly, and protect yourself effectively in real-world situations using the proven fundamentals of Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ). This mixed-level, all-gender self-defense class focuses on practical techniques like escaping from grabs and pins, using leverage instead of strength, and applying joint locks or chokes when escape isn’t possible. You’ll also explore non-striking methods to neutralize an attacker while building mental clarity under pressure. No prior experience is necessary; all techniques are pressure-tested and taught in a welcoming, inclusive environment suitable for all fitness levels. Each session closes with a short mindfulness practice, such as breathwork or guided meditation, to enhance calm, focus, and emotional resilience both on and off the mat.

Mert’s classes covers self-defense techniques, resistance training, and meditation all in one session. He believes that physical health and mental health improves a lot more effectively if they are trained together. Join them to improve your overall health — not just to get stronger, but also to feel more connected to yourself. And of course you will learn techniques that you will really enjoy practicing, but hopefully never have to use.
