Last week was a special moment for Dojo Berlin.

For the first time, 8 students took part in the same exam session, setting a new record for our dojo in Berlin.

Congratulations to Eduardo, Hans, Virginia, Leonid, Philipp, Deniz, Stefan, and Nam. We are very happy and proud that everyone passed.

It was an intense day, full of nerves, effort, concentration, and many emotions. But what stayed with us the most was the feeling of pride in this group.

Dojo Berlin continues to grow, slowly and steadily, while keeping the technical quality and human spirit that we value so much.

Seeing students help and support each other reminds us why this dojo is becoming stronger every day.

We keep growing together.

This year’s Matsubayashi-ryu Gasshuku took place in Norway, at Jon Hålien Sensei’s dojo in Valdres, together with the celebration of the dojo’s 30th anniversary.

Representing our dojo in Berlin, Frank Noelte, 1st Dan, travelled to take part in the training and exchange.

I am very happy that we continue to build and maintain these connections between dojos, whether through gasshuku, seminars, or shared training experiences.

Thank you to Jon Hålien Sensei and everyone involved for keeping this spirit of Matsubayashi-ryu alive.

Frank also becomes the first black belt of the Berlin Dojo, a milestone we are truly proud of and one that sets the path for the entire dojo.

His consistency, attitude, and commitment make him a reference and role model for all students.
