An immersive 2.5-hour workshop exploring breath as a bridge between body, voice, and mind.
Breath Away invites you into a deep yet accessible exploration of breathing as a powerful tool for everyday life, movement, and expression. Rooted in yoga, enriched by free diving, and expanded through vocalizing, this workshop offers a unique meeting point of awareness, physiology, and play.
The first part of the workshop (approx. 60 minutes) draws from yogic breathing practices, mainly inspired by the Ashtanga Yoga tradition and complemented by techniques from other schools. What makes this practice unique is the perspective of an experienced free diver, where conscious breathing is essential for calm, focus, and performance under pressure. You'll explore why we so often feel out of breath, how breathing influences the nervous system and heart rate, and how small adjustments can create profound shifts. The practices are practical and immediately applicable - helping you regulate stress, improve endurance, recover faster from physical activity, and support deeper sleep.
In the second part, the breath is given a voice. Guided by techniques from singing and vocal work, you'll explore how sound naturally emerges from breath and how vocalizing can deepen body awareness, release tension, and support emotional regulation. No singing experience is required - this is not about performance, but about sensing, resonance, and expression. Through gentle vocal exercises, toning, and guided exploration, breath becomes audible, tangible, and playful.
The workshop concludes with an integrated practice, weaving breath, movement, stillness, and sound into a grounded, embodied experience - leaving you calm, energized, and connected.
