I don’t create hastily. I’m the proverbial tortoise, slow and steady, winning no races. But I do stick with my projects, and see them through. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Life is a journey, not a destination.”

What began as a coaching suggestion in winter one year ago led to a rebirth of my website. The suggestion was: let us see your face.

As I hadn’t ever had a professional photoshoot for Hirai Healing, it seemed high time. In spring 2025 I engaged a wonderful photographer to take photos of me at Haven in the sunshine. I took more than a month to choose a handful of my favorites from over 800 to be edited for use. I received the photos, glossy and shining. And then I paused, to allow summer to be enjoyed to its fullest.

In autumn, when I showed the photos to my website designer, we both agreed that the energy of the new photographs really called for a redesign of the entire look and feel of the site. We worked together on the redesign through the winter and into spring.

I am so excited to share that the website is finally online! It has a fresh, bright design and a new layout, as well as improved functionality on your phone. One new feature I really love: there is now a place for you to write a testimonial about my work.

If you’re in Berlin, I hope you’ve been enjoying the unusual amount of sunshine we’ve had recently! I know I have. It’s been a beautiful autumn. As much as I sometimes dread the approach of Berlin winter with its legendary gray skies, I also look forward to the long cozy evenings. This winter I have some long-delayed projects planned for the quieter, introspective time of year. And of course, the annual visit to my family in the USA.
