Emotions, our avenue of expression: Both the jaw and pelvis are known to be our avenues of expression – on physical and verbal levels. Think about what happens to your jaw when you are holding back from expressing yourself. Suppressed anger, fear, and negative emotions can cause you to clench and grind your teeth, or build stress in the jaw. Similarly, think about what happens to your body when you are in a stressful situation, can you feel your abdomen and pelvic floor muscles tense up, or your buttocks clench? Years of sexual repression and unspoken feelings can be held in the body as tightness and pain.

Through specific self-touch and sensual movement we can unwind ourselves, release tension in our body and make space for a softer version of ourselves.

The enrollment for the next online guided live sessions: the touch. is starting soon, February 2022. Stay in the loop and sign up to my newsletter (via my bio in online sessions) to be the first one to know when we are opening the doors again.

With so much love,
Marie-Sophie

"Food plays a central role in the evolution of humans, and civilization. As we enter a new geological era - the Anthropocene, the age of humans- we realize our consumption habits are one of the main causes of environmental degradation and climate change. In this talk, Charles takes us on a journey from the emergence of life on Earth, to the birth of civilization, agriculture and cities, and how the way we eat can either lead us to our demise, or can shape a brighter future for us, and the planet. Sharing a "Guide to Conscious Eating", Charles highlights that eating and cooking are powerful political acts, and that eating consciously could be one of the keys to meet the 2030 UN's Sustainable Development Goals."

RETREAT 16-19.07.2020
Our voices help us define our selfhood and collective humanity. Possessing a voice is a symbol of empowerment. A woman’s womb space is directly linked to her throat center thus her ability to verbally express herself. When a woman is fully connected to her womb space she is able to communicate through the heart center using the power of love to express her truth.
As part of our female healing retreat we practice Tibetan Energy Work, Taoist meditation and offer exercises for women who want to be more energetic, seek a higher state of well-being, a deeper spiritual connection and stronger sexuality.
Nowadays women often experience a disconnect from their sexuality or are struggling with health problems and complications related to their reproductive organs. Sexual energy is the most powerful energy stored in our bodies – the only one that has the ability to create life.
retreat, we teach women how to use this energy for self-healing and how to express themselves more authentically. Women of all ages can benefit from the course and the practices they learn.
We focus on movement meditation around the reproductive organs, or****ic upward draw and use of the jade egg, while we are doing breathing and singing exercises as well.
Our goal is to increase the energy circulation within the body, activate hormone producing glands, invigorate and rejuvenate all vital functions, while connecting mind and body.

Preforming Arts Medicine has come of age, resulting from 3 important developments over the past decade: improved methods of diagnosis and treatment, an awareness that artists suffer from special problems related to their occupation and lifestyle, and the establishment of health programs emphasizing an interdisciplinary approach to these patients. During the European Congress for Integrative Medicine (Ljubljana, Slovenia 2018) I
presented together with my team from the Medical University Charité Berlin our work about: The Effects of Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment and Other Manual-Based Therapy Systems on Adult Musicians. This first systematic review just got published in the international Journal: Medical Problems of Performing Artists (MPPA). I hope it does inspires you and broadens your horizon about treating artists in the future. Much love, Marie-Sophie

“I wish we could remember where we came from; a part of nature. I wish we could remember that it is a gift to be here and that we need to respect the world and it’s resources. That we would touch, nurture, and care for it with love, as a mother cares for her child.” (Interview for .oneness | Picture taken by .wencker)

How misalignment of the jaw can affect your overall health - even your posture. As more research proves the connectedness of each system, such as the oral-systemic link or mind-body connection, societal conversations and medical practices reflect this. It’s amazing how intricately connected the entire body really is. The tempomandibular joint (TMJ) is attaching the jaw to the head. If you are placing your fingertips of both hands on the area in front of the ears whilst moving or opening your mouth, you can feel and evaluate these movements. An imbalance in your TMJ can cause headaches, dizziness, nausea, teeth grinding, limiting jaw movement, muscle soreness and can change the alignment of your jaw and thus of your whole posture. Especially of your pelvis. Conversely, a pelvic injury can affect your jaw. How does it happen? The dura mater is a tough, inelastic membrane that lines the inside of your cranium and forms a loose sheath surrounding the spinal cord that is attached to C1, C2 and C3 and then descends all the way down to the sacrum. When the jaw is not aligned, it torques the dura mater at the upper end of the spine, which translates all the way down to the sacrum. This torquing can cause scoliosis, lordosis, kyphosis, pelvic rotation, head tilt and cranial bone misalignment which can affect your endocrine system and spinal nerves. Apparently women suffer 9times more TMJ Dysfunction than men. Diverse reasons are discussed. Feel free to share your knowledge below 👇🏻
